 Rating:  - Great conspiracy theoryThe game is worth playing through just because of the idea of this shadow government run by the patriots. Hideo Kojima has a very scary message for people that think they live in a democracy and they are free. This story is so detailed, better then 90% of any thing Hollywood can come up with. I have one problem with this game. I bought the strategy guide and still this game was one of the hardest games I have ever played. If you played through Metal Gear Solid then I think it would make it easier. This did not prevent me from finishing the game however. The music in this game is some of the best I have ever heard in a video game or film for that matter. The first great PS2 game and still one of the best. Rating:  - It's one step below MGS oneMetal Gear Solid is sure a pure gem but It has a few flaws. Lets get started shall we. Now first of all. WHAT THE HELL IS RAIDEN DOING HERE. Alot of people had a problem with Raiden being in it. I'm not...I mean it's Metal Gear Solid For crying out loud! Metal Gear Ray is awesome. Not as good as Rex though....The plot was a little confusing at times and I was annoyed by the Kodec...ON AND ON...JEEZ when does Raidens Girlfriend NOT call. The things you can do are so realistic from cracking people's necks to Tranquilizing people. Everything about it is stunning!!!! The game has many twists and turns but everything makes sense. Rating: - A rare play.The gameplay is pretty much identical to Metal Gear Solid on PS1. The graphics are top-notch and it has the classic MGS feel. What brings this great game down to a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is that there is a lot more watching than playing and the plant chapter can actually get tedious. A lot of the rooms and sections look exactly the same. I recommend this game to any Metal Gear, and Metal Gear Solid fan. Rating: - Splinter Cell poses no competition (video game morals)MGS2 is one of the few perfect sequels that exist in the gaming world today. Also, it has a great graphical engine, and amazing environment features. People have denounced, MGS2, because of it's unrealisticness, but is that really why we're playing video games? Do you play to have fun, obviously. We play video games so we can do stuff we can't do in real life, like battle 50+ enemies with a sword alone. I have to admit, the last hour of MGS2, is really, graphically amazing. Splinter cell is also mission-based, BORING! MGS2, has better weapons selection too.
