This book was the first book to have opened my eyes and mind to think and view the world and situations differently. It is very uplifting and enlightening. The book is well written and extremely easy to follow. This book is a must have in every home.

Up Till Now will appeal to Shatner fans and those who are thinking about acting careers. He provides a "lite" look at what it was like where even the tearful moments are mostly played for laughs.
William Shatner and David Fisher provide lots of entertaining fare that manages to explain his roles and attitude toward life. Being an actor brings an appreciation for irony: An ordinary role may create stardom while a great role may lead to a cancellation. Mr. Shatner's long and successful career has taught him to appreciate simply being able to work and save a little money. He also humbly understands that building and maintaining a marriage while acting is even more difficult, an area where he has not excelled.

Being and avid Buffy fan, I've found great joy in learning of Season 8. The other review gives an excellent breakdown. The first thing I did notice was the dialog pure Joss Whedon , and the art work cool. I highly recommend this to every Buffy fan, a must.

Another excellent book by Dr. Amen, which is so fascinating about how the brain works and how with the newest diagnostic tools, it can be "tweaked" so our lives can be the best they can be. Very interesting read.
Dr. Amen was a welcomed guest on my Internet radio program, Coping with Caregiving.

Hilarious book, even with the subject matter being so grim. The explanation of time by the Tralfamadorians (spelling could be off on my part) is interesting and clever. I prefered both "Cat's Cradle" and "Breakfast of Champions" but "Slaughterhouse-five" is still absolutely great!

I loved the rest of the series, and this was the best so far I think!
It had me laughing out loud, and excited to turn every page. I couldn't put it down.

I would first rate this book 4 * from an objective point of view because I've found that Krakauer's personal mountain-climbing story breaks the flow. It was like interrupting your reading of one book and starting to read a completely different one on a similar subject matter. However the
book is so well written, you can't put it down.
I personally give it 5 stars because I find that it was important to bring out this tragic story to light. This book is not just about a troubled young man who died on his journey mainly by his own fault. It is also about a young person's soul-searching quest, reaching for higher ideals, finding your place in what is becoming an overly unjust world.

When a novel is as thick as "Pillars of the Earth", I am usually skeptical whether it will keep me interested throughout. And, the start was slow, but only for a couple of pages. And then, it really started. I had a tough time putting the book down before I reached the ending. The depiction of medieval times was so vivid that I could picture the villages, the buildings and the people quite clearly in my mind, almost as if I were watching a movie instead of reading a novel. The storyline is very good and kept me on my toes as if the book were a modern day suspense thriller. If you want to spend a couple of days reading a good novel, you cannot go wrong with this one.

This is an excellent book if:
- you want to spend the first 100-odd pages reading about Cesar's biography. Since I did not know anything about him, I found it very interesting.
- you did not understand the pack theroy as Cesar explains it very well
- if you are already following along his series on TV and the book helps as a reminder and guide.
I only rated this book a 3 because I do not have access to the TV show as I live in Canada. I purchased to book to learn how to tweak my dog owning skills. Luckily for me (or should I say my dogs) I understand the pack theory.
I was actually quite disappointed with the book. I guess I had other expectations which I should not have had before picking the book up. Cesar spends a lot of ... Read More:

Ok so the basic premise is clever enough and I will say that it rolled along pretty quickly. That said, it's really just a bit of fluff, entertaining to be sure but there's just so much potential to really dive deep that goes unrealized.
A fun afternoon read but not anything I'd feel obliged to keep afterwards.
