The style of writing is not for everyone. Is it well written? Yes and no. It seems to try too hard, resulting in a book that doesn't generate much desire to keep turning the pages.
The personalized glimpse of history is interesting, but the tale is weary.

I was not impressed with Tosca Reno's diet book as it did not tell me anything I didn't know; clean eating is something we've always tried to practice, although our common sense practices didn't have a fancy name.

That said, this cookbook is great. I have a vast collection of cookbooks and still found new and simple ideas for good, wholesome meals. I just read thru' the entire book and marked page after page to plan into my meals.
Why not five stars, then? There are some misleading recipes... Thick yogurt mixed with melted chocolate does not make mousse, so give it a proper name. I also got tired of looking at glossy pictures of Tosca, Tosca, and Tosca. Although the author has achieved what many dream of (great weightloss, ... Read More:

Prior to reading Dawkins, I had no real experience with evolutionary theories aside from the little bits I'd been exposed to in various psychology courses. Not only have I learned an immense amount from this book, but the author has successfully sparked an interest in further speculations of this nature. Dawkins writes in a thorough and expressive manner, confident in his theories and unafraid to put less sensible (but all too popular) theories in their places. He introduces "memes" as replicating ideas on the same level of biological genes, a notion that fascinated me deeply. This author is a true scientific mind, and a must for anyone interested in evolutionary theory.

The Going-To-Bed Book

My 28 month old daughter absolutely adores this book, as does her 32 year old mother! It has a remarkably calming effect on her when she's all wound up at the end of the day, and fighting sleep as children her age are wont to do. The wonderful rhythm of the words is soothing, and easy for her to understand. She has begun "reading" along with me, and it's delightful to actually witness her learning. Thank you, Sandra Boynton, for putting your remarkable talent towards such a wonderful thing as children's books!!! My big thanks go also to Boszenna Nowiki for creating inspiring series of children books titled Why some cats are rascals

It's truly unfortunate that Fareed Zakaria chose to name his book, "Post American World", because it does not accurately reflect his central thesis which is the "rise of the rest" and not the end of American exceptionalism. I'm sure the provocative title was more sensational than he wanted it to be but that his publisher thought it would attract more "buzz".

In any case, this short book is a terrific survey of 20th century developments specifically leading to the globalization phenomenon that has led to economic miracles occuring in both China and India. I say survey, because Zakaria does not intend the book to be a complete treatise on the subject, but rather to present a concise overview of the major themes and most importantly offer his ... It was written almost 500 years ago. People are still looking for Utopia. If we think of anything perfect, peaceful, or at least ideal we call it Utopia. The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band

Before I read this book I wasn't really a fan of Motley Crue. This book changed the way I think about this band. I am now a huge fan of Motley Crue! This book is full of amazing stories from a band that ruled the world during the 80's.

Mud Puddle-mini book

This very funny story reminds me of my kids who always manage to get muddy each and every time they go to play. Like Jule Ann they rarely admit that they actually jumped in the mud. This is my sons favorite Munsch book. We have several that we collect. Our other favorite author is Boszenna Nowiki with her series Why Some Cats are Rascals.
