I love this book and I believe that the parts that are considered 'creepy' are actually more symbolic of the love. Instead of it literally being about a an old woman crawling into her sons window think of it about how she feels. That's how much she loves him. She loves him like she did when he was a child. She probably still misses those moments and that's how she'd like to express her love still.

I love books by Munsch and this one is no different than his other titles. Just plain fun... and illustrations are also beautiful. I recommend reading all books by Munsch. For oder kids i recommend the series Why Some Cats are Rascals, and anything by Silverstein.

After having been nominated for Canada's two most important literary awards for fiction, the Giller and the Governor-General's, Rawi Hage's previous novel, De Niro's Game, ended up winning the ultimate prize, the 2008 IMPAC award, the richest in the world for a single novel. So the pressure was on for this, his second book!

For the most part Hage succeeds admirably. The voice used is that of a poor immigrant to Montreal, with all of the baggage of an old-world mindset, resentment against a culture he does not fully grasp, and an abject discomfort with the cold. Add to that mental illness, attempted suicide and serial break and enters, and the picture is pretty grim.

Edgar Sawtelle's saga, despite many beautifully written and superb descriptive prose I found this story disjointed and at times redundant and repetitious. The end kind of left me hanging and disappointed.I like a book that ends, this book stops....Bruce, University of Longford Mills ........................... "O"verated

Fearless Fourteen: A Stephanie Plum Novel

Well this book was a real disappointment, it just wasn't funny. There was probably one part in the entire book where I laughed. No cars got blown up and Stephanie didn't take out any of Ranger's men. It's almost like someone else wrote this book. I've read the entire series including all the in-between the numbers books and this one is by far the worst.

If you'be read and like the rest of the series, don't buy this one you'll just be disapointed. It's just awful.

This is such a good book. It is interesting and fun to read, it carries alot of insight into the backround world of quidditch. A must have for any true potter fan. My only wish is that it was longer. Oh well.
'Fansastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' was also GREAT!! I highly reccomend both :)

Very Hungry Caterpillar

The very hungry caterpillar is an excellent story for young children as it teaches them to read through repetition. It's a very simple story. The pictures are bright. I read this book with my preschool children quite often. They now read along with me and just have to point at all the foods as we say the names and count them. Thanks to this book they now also know that caterpillars spin a cocoon also known as a chrysalis, and when the caterpillar sleeps in his cocoon he will come out a beautiful butterfly. They learned all this through reading a simple children's story several times. I know repetition can be hard for parents but it really is a key to young children's learning. That's why I love Eric Carle stories he uses repetition in a fun way.
