I will keep this short and sweet. This is a fantastic movie. So good that I wish there was a sequel, (even though we all know that that would never happen) because this movie was so special. I loved it. It's just one of those movies that makes you happy every time you watch it. Girls and guys alike will thoroughly enjoy it. I am generally very easy to please when it comes to movies, but the Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli movies are sure to please any movie critics out there. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes anime, or just likes to have fun.

This is still one of my family's favourite movies. Like many of the other reviewers, our VHS copy was worn out, and we got the DVD a couple of years ago... we did not want to lose this one. Slapstick.. just enough to be funny, not ridiculous. Lots of good performances, wonderful script and editing, and Kelsey Grammer turns in a wonderfully credible character, as he did in Frasier. The premise is basic, and rings true: give people a reason to accomplish something personally, especially within a group/team concept, and value each person's abilities. It works. Add to that the laughs that come out of this movie, and it's great viewing. I don't like fart jokes either, but there are two that stand out in movies for me as actually funny instead ... Read More:

Ted Demme has offered us a sweet reunion of small town, New Englander, twenty-somethings. There is some Big Chill here 1990's style, but for the most part, the guys that stayed home and married or almost married are blue-collar, beer drinking, and chick panting types. High school big man, Matt Dillon is still respected for his womanizing skills. Tim Hutton has a girl back in New York City, but his musical career is getting old and his thirteen-year-old neighbor girl attracts. The relationship between a young man and an adolescent could have been really creepy, but there's some deft writing and directing, so we enjoy this impossibility for a few hours. Uma Thurman vamps as the perfect chick. Each of the single guys gives her a rush, but she's just ... Read More:

this movie has a lot of good things going for it.one of them is the
great ensemble cast.this includes Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz as the
marquee names.however,i don't think they were the stars of the
show.that distinction is shared with the supporting cast.there are some
big names here.Jamie Foxx and Dennis Quaid are both terrific.LL Cool J
also puts in a strong performance.James Woods give his usual good
performance.in smaller roles,but no less effective,are Matthew
Modine,Aaron Eckhart and John C.McGinley.Lauren Holley, though, puts in
a very strong performance and really impressed me.the movie also has a
high degree of realism during the scenes on the football field.you can
hear every bone crunching ... Read More:

This movie is incredibly funny. Mel Gibson went from a macho pig to a metrosexual in all of 30 minutes ;)
Aside from the great music and wonderful cast, this movie is pretty family friendly and great for all those guys who want to know what women really want. Heres a hint guys...They want you to listen to them!

while it's hard to say how accurate this depiction of Bruce Lee
is,there's no denying it is entertaining.one thing that is probably
depicted fairly accurately is the racism Lee faced from street punks to
those in the entertainment industry, all of whom should have known
better.but the movie also has it's lite side.there is some humour to
lighten things up.the action sequences are done pretty well, but maybe a
bit over the top.Jason Scoot Lee handles the role of Lee very well, even
though he may not fit Lee physically.he is much larger than Lee
was.Lauren Holley is good as Lee's love interest(and eventual
wife)Linda Emery. Michael Learned is particularly good as the mother of
Linda Emery who does not approve of the ... Read More:

I only discovered this delightful little Christmas movie from 2002 a few weeks ago and I was very pleased with this "modern", Christmas story so very different from the great classics normally associated with the festive season. "Santa Jr.", from it's enchanting title, to its lovable performances and sentimental writing is sure to delight viewers and while it is no outstanding tour de force it is a film that is just right for this time of year where finally we get to find out more about the family of Santa Claus!
It seems that good old Santa has been sending out apprentices for a few years now to make sure the presents are all delivered on time in different parts of the world. "Santa Jr." tells the story of , you guessed it his son who is called surprise "Chris" (Nick Stabile) ... Read More:

Those of you who enjoy those good old western movies, but are needing a bit of Shakespearean drama, then King of Texas is the movie you want to see. This movie is William Shakespeare's "King Lear" transplanted into a beautiful Texas setting. The major characters found within "King Lear" have been renamed and wonderfully refitted for a classic made for TV western movie. Besides a few minuet modifications to the story line, King of Texas is a close representation for "King Lear". I found this movie to be very entertaining. Patric Stewart delivers an excellent performance, and he doesn't look that bad with a beard. However, I did expect him to whip out a laser gun and kick [rear]... near the climax. Unfortunately, these hopes never came true, but Patric Stewart is the man none the less. This ... Read More:

I just saw this movie on television, and it was great. Even my husband enjoyed it, and he usually doesn't like love story movies. All the actors in the film did a fine job. I like it so much that I ordered the video from Amazon. com, so I can watch it again and again.

I was absolutely appalled at how horrible the prequel "When Harry Met Lloyd" was when released in 2003 so I went back to the original from 1994 and let me tell you, it is still a really funny and witful comedy classic.
Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are an amazing team starring as two really low-wealth bums in the run-down slums of the east coast rustbelt and when Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) is a taxi driver at the airport, an attractive woman (Lauren Holly) accidentally leaves behind an important suitcase with important material and now Harry along with his longtime dim-witted friend Harry Dunn try to compete to win her heart over and go all the way to Aspen, Colorado to return the suitcase to her but they are unaware that they are being persued by a criminal couple involved in a criminal ...
