The first reviewer was right; not a lot of bang for the buck. It's more of a sappy love story the further the plot progresses. Not to mention that the DVD itself comes in a cardboard case, rather than a traditional plastic one, allowing for the inevitable bends and creases due to standard delivery practices. As a lover of Futurama, I HAD to get this to add to my collection, but, in the future, I hope they try to focus more on the comedy.

this movie is in my list of most watched movies. its about a witch who loses her power to fly and has to struggle with herself to find who she is to be able to fly again. every witch has a special power that she does best, like her own personality manifested. when kiki loses her power, its like the struggle a lot of young girls (and boys) go through to find out why they're here and who they are. i first saw this movie when i was in grade 7, and her not knowing what her power was at first, finding it, loosing it and then how she gained it back by realizing what was truly important really touched a chord in me. i thought to myself 'hey! i go through that all the time!' and watching her rise out of her inability always made me feel better about ... i found this movie to be funny and risqué.it's also very fast
paced.it's based on the animated TV show,which i am not that familiar
with,having only seen it once or twice.the movie is a bit convoluted at
times.if you watch it,you will no why.also not being very familiar with
the show,there were a few minor characters i knew nothing about.i am
familiar with the main characters.anyway,you might want to watch some
episodes of the TV show before viewing the movie.i don't think it's
completely necessary,but it might help a bit.regardless,this is a very
funny,enjoyable movie.it's not for young kids though.for
me,Futurama:Bender's Big Score is a 4/5

Cinderella II: Dreams Come True

I was shocked and surprised by the negative reviews I saw on the web, I thought Cinderella 2 (as well as 3) is a very cute and funny sequel for everyone - kids and adults (like me, I am 22 years old).

I also find it and very informative film, it shows lessons on being true to yourself and following your heart; And also I thought it has great animation, and the voice casting was very good and the songs performed by Brooke Allison too. Since this film has been divided into three flashbacks/stories, my favorite out of the three, is the story of when Jaq the mouse, became a human for a day, thanks to Fairy Godmother.

This movie is every thing you'd expect of a sequel to be. It takes from the original but builds character traits in Cinderella and Anastacia and advances this cherished classic.

The movie starts out a year after the magical wedding of the Prince and Cinderella. They're still in marital bliss and are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary with just Cinderella's closest friends, including the mice and the fairy godmother.

At the same time, Drusilla and Anastacia are at the old house doing the chores that Cinderella once did and enduring the scorn of their mother.

Having watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas with my kids I purchased this first movie thinking it would be the just as good if not better. Frankly I was disappointed. The first story with Donald's three nephews is okay in the tried ("tired"?) and true practice of the bratty boys discovering the true spirit of Christmas (not God or anything so non-PC, just the importance of being kind to people you love). It's harmless enough, but I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person in the world who's getting tired of hollywood boys doing the standard burping-belching schtick. Maybe children's writers could push the envelope and try to be funny without resorting to such stunts. The "Gift of the Magi" story is quite good with Mickey and Minnie selling their prized possessions ... Read More:

I am honestly STUNNED by the shocking narrow-mindedness displayed by God-fearing, puritan Christians in other reviews of this DVD. There ARE other religions out there, exposing your children to them is no big deal, shielding them from it is both fascist and dangerous. And to dismiss them as evil is pure insanity. Especially Wicca. This is not a 'satanic' or 'devil-worshipping' religion and saying so only promotes further ignorance. Surely something was learned from the Dark Ages and the Salem Witch hunts. But reading other reviews here...I'm having second thoughts.

I'm actually quite glad Warner had the balls to have a plot involving Wicca and witches in a Scooby Doo cartoon. Okay, so ONE of them ultimately turns to be evil but there are evil people of all religions. ... Read More:

I recently had the chance to see the movie Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. I was expecting pure camp but the camp had a ribbon of intelligent plot running through it. In the movie Elvira plays her television persona and takes it to the extreme.

After shooting an episode of her show Elvira meets the new station owner who provides a little harassment and drives her to quit on the spot. Elvira's dream is to perform in Las Vegas. She has the offer but finds out she has to provide fifty grand as insurance against the show's possible failure. She does not have the money. Then a telegram arrives informing her that a great-aunt out East has just passed away and she is named in the will. So off she goes to Massachusetts.

My 3 y.o. son loves this movie and often quotes from it as he engages in sword play outside. One of his new favourite make believe games is to rescue the princess. The musical score draws on classics so is easy on the parent's ear. There are a couple of one liners for the grown ups too. I was pleasantly surprised as I generally do not like Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
