Well, I wondered how music and sex are going to be combined here, but it wasn't really bad, the good thing is that there are two versions on this one if you want to take it softly, you can, but to watch it as it was filmed there's the xxx version. The sex is really good, and music and singing not bad. The story of course is silly, not to be taken seriously, acting standard musical but the lead actress is pretty and it's all done in the forest so lots of green. Comical, somehow erotic and musically enjoyable.

Subversive cinema put out all the stops to make Dust Devil SE DVD simply one of the best DVDs to be put out.

First you get five DVDs in the set.

DVD#1: COntains Dust Devil the Director's Cut. While the movie is just excellent with excellent cinematography and quite metaphysical. The commentary just blows you away and Richard Stanley does one of the best commenataries ever put on a DVD(it compares to Werner Herzog's commentaries). The commentary clears up many loose ends in the movie and recounts the crazy shooting of the whole show.

DVD#2: contains the workprint release of the movie. Again you get a different longer cut of the movie along with a different commentary.

This film absolutely rocks. It has everything you could want, freaks, torture, an evil homage to "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane", insanity, eyeball sucking, gore, etc. It's like a train wreck, you don't want to look but it's way too fascinating. The main character keeps getting tortured & your mind keeps jumping ahead, what will happen next? How much can he endure? Why is this happening?! I don't want to reveal too much of the plot here, it's just so great I gave it a standing ovation at the end.
One of the most original films to come out in years. You can't call yourself a die-hard horror fan if you miss this gem.

This is a wonderful film that impressed the heck out of me (and I'm very critical). It weaves together some of the most unusual 'fringe' elements of human discovery into a really great story. No, it's not a by-the-numbers video for everyone; but with just a small leap into innocence you can thoroughly enjoy the time spent watching it. It's also probably a wonderful way to spend time with children.
