As a teacher, I don't work during the summer, which gives me the chance to go nuts when the TV DVD series come out. In general I don't watch my favourite shows during the actual season, because I hate commercials and I love not having to wait for a week to see how things go. I must admit I was worried about the fourth season of one of my favourite shows, because I was dubious about the sound of House's new fellows.

No problems there! House manages to maintain his misanthropy with a new crew, and the way in which their characters are developed even as they are respectively hired and/or fired is thoroughly enjoyable. If you seek clever comedy, then Extras is a prudent choice particularly if you enjoy British vehicles. Disregard the "Disappointing" review by David Land. I wouldn't be surprised if Land thinks Friends is funny... NOT!!!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull [Blu-ray]

Let me be very fair by stating that this film is beautifully recreated in Blu-Ray with all the special effects and sound seemingly amplified! It's a beauty!

However, the fourth installment of "Indiana Jones" is a disappointment. The entrance scene with Indiana and his fedora in a silhouette is a nice start, but the film's plot quickly disintegrates into implausibility. Now, I do understand the Saturday `Flash Gordon' type stories where credibility is stretched for entertainment, but this film stretches and breaks. Marion is back (Karen Allen) and her entrance is so very welcome, but she soon disappears into a one-dimensional character. Indiana's new side-kick (Shia LaBeouf) misses his mark and only annoys when constantly slicking back his hair ... Read More:

"Iron Man" is a comic book movie telling the story of billionaire arms and weaponry mastermind Tony Stark, who after being in the Lion's den of Afghanistan and realizing how much harm his weapons cause the world, quits the arms business, creating a costume and becoming an avenger.

Good special effects, fabulous performance by Robert Downey Jr., this movie is amongst the best super hero movies of recent times. It never really wavers during its 2-hour length time. There's a high degree of social conscience to this movie and the lead actor's emotional transformation is fascinating to watch.

I have Jillian's book "Making the cut" and the workouts in the book are tough, but having a video with the queen of mean pushing you through the hard parts is even better! I have been involved in fitness for the majority of my life and these three work outs are hard. I am on my 7th day - 23 more days of this seems impossible! All in all, after 30 days of this workout you will be 'shredded'!
