I was hesitant about this purchase but once I listened to it..WOW!! Very relaxing and the 2 voices were ment to sing together. It's a perfect cd for a romantic night or a diner party. Robert Plant is a man of many talents..from ROCK GOD OF THE 70'S to a mature and mello Rock God!!!

The ever-enduring crooner returns with a collection of stripped-back, simple songs diverging how it feels to be reaching the twilight of life. Yet Van Morrison keeps all the controlled energy of someone who still has something to pass on to the world.
"Keep It Simple" is a mainly bluesy affair. He's returned to the usual mixture of autobiographical fare and the kind of mix of jazz, folk, blues, country and soul that may be chock-full of lyrical cliche but is always lifted by a voice that really hasn't deteriorated much in the last twenty years. Let's face it: the blues wouldn't be the blues without it's lyrical template. It's the way it's sung that matters, and Van is still peerless in this respect.

From The Reach features an impressive guest list on this release, Eric Johnson : Guitar. Eric Clapton : B.V. & Guitar. Dr. John : Piano. Jimmy Buffet: Backing Vocals. Vince Gill : Guitar. Robben Ford : Guitar. This is a very good blues album to be played over and over. Take this to the beach or a backyard BBQ. It's been a bit of a wait for this release but well worth it!

Contradictor is a fabulous follow up to Ndidi's first disc. Contradictor is more mature and more R&B based than the blues & gospel of "No I Never". Production by Steve Dawson is superb and the musicians tight. Some really outstanding horn arrangements - check out "SK Final". Some great rockers like "Rise". "Boogie MB" is a flat out boogie that John Lee Hooker would be proud of. And she even does a sweet Harry Nilsson cover "He Needs Me"! And for whatever reason this full length CD is only $2.99! Get one quick, put it on, turn it up and get ready to boogie.

Rarely does a year go by without some new artist being proclaimed the greatest thing since music's birth, and when I first heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan, I was a bit weary. With so many people talking about him as if he was the second coming of Jimi Hendrix, something had to be amiss.
Well, it isn't. The late Stevie Ray Vaughan was actually every bit as great as he was made out to be, and his debut album is by far the best collection of blues-rock and contemporary blues of the first half of the 80s, holding up wonderfully more than twenty years later.
This record brought the blues back into the limelight. It spent some seven months on the American charts (an extremely rare feat for what is essentially a blues record), and it includes ... Read More:

It has a rather dumb title and it doesn't offer anything new, but Complete Clapton is actually a pretty good compilation, particularly for those new to Eric Clapton. Most of his major hits are present, presented chronologically and remastered. Disc one is essentially Clapton's 1995 Cream of Clapton disc; other than switching Blues Power for Lay Down Sally, it's the same disc track for track, covering his career from 1968 to 1981. The second is basically an update to 1999's Clapton Chronicles, covering his music from 1983 to 2006. Luckily, it avoids too much duplication from that disc (which was pretty lackluster) by including tracks from his Money & Cigarettes, From the Cradle, Riding With The King, Me & Mr. Johnson, and Road to Escondido albums, which weren't ... Its not-quite-jazz, not-quite-blues but I loved it. Nora Jones is a rare and gifted talent that only comes along once in while. Her voice is so sultry and sophisticated that I thought I was listening to a much older artist. Every song on her album invites you into the world of her soulful music for a listening experience that made me play the songs over and over. Excellent CD. You'll get lost in the music.
