I had the pleasure of watching this performance on PBS Detroit. I could not move myself from the T.V. when they came on. I watched it again when it was shown for the second time. I immediately bought a copy of this performance for home and a CD for my car. These men are unbelievably talented as a group and the individual songs chosen for them match their vocals perfectly. They are awesome. The talent they have goes without saying. It is a MUST see for everyone

This disc is an entertaining romp with the Barenaked Ladies. My 11 month old listens quite intently and especially likes 789. My husband and I also find ourselves singing along. I would like to commend the group for their quality lyrics, music and Canadian Pride!

I bought the deluxe package including 2CD + 2DVD. The good part of it, the entire performance of the show are top quality. Gilmour give one of is best performance of "Comfortably Numb", unfortunately Richard Wright are not the right person to replace Roger Water's part. The VERY BAD side of that show, is the sound recording. Not a question of the DTS 5.1 full spectrum sound, but the compression of the sound. Just use a set of headphone and you wont believe it, so many drop outs of level, like on "High Hope" and "Echoes", more the music is getting louder, more it's going away. At the end it's sound like a bunch of bread. I have also noticed this problem on "Remember that night" DVD, but it is less perceptive than this one. I don't know who mixed ... Read More:

Off the top, I have to admit that I am biased towards Elton John. His music has given me more pleasure since the early seventies than any other performer. I'll admit there was a period in the 80's and 90's when I was not so fond of his songs. I have heard him say that he was on a drug induced ego trip, and he feels the same way about this period. But even during this period he wrote some great music. I do feel that he was at his most creative during the early seventies.
I was always diasappointed that I never had a chance to see Elton John live. So when Concert DVD's became available, I bought a couple of E.J. concerts, including "One Night Only" and a concert recorded in Spain. I enjoyed both of them, but lamented the fact that the sound ... Read More:

I haven't purchased or owned this album. It sounds as if there's the same old R&B beat. All I can hear his her talented high pitched singing voice and there's no deep emotion in her singing. The producers and the whole team behind the creation of the record aren't very creative. The song lyrics aren't that bad.

The ever-enduring crooner returns with a collection of stripped-back, simple songs diverging how it feels to be reaching the twilight of life. Yet Van Morrison keeps all the controlled energy of someone who still has something to pass on to the world.
"Keep It Simple" is a mainly bluesy affair. He's returned to the usual mixture of autobiographical fare and the kind of mix of jazz, folk, blues, country and soul that may be chock-full of lyrical cliche but is always lifted by a voice that really hasn't deteriorated much in the last twenty years. Let's face it: the blues wouldn't be the blues without it's lyrical template. It's the way it's sung that matters, and Van is still peerless in this respect.
Husky, slurred, simple yet honest, the album is one enduring ... Read More:
