emember how frustrating it was when Nine Inch Nails would make us wait four to six years between albums? That trend, it appears, has entered the rearview mirror stage, along with the label messes and rehab stints that helped cause those interminable gaps. Consider the new math after The Slip hit hard drives as a free download last Monday: over the last three years, Trent Reznor's released as many full-length records of new material (four) as he did during the first decade of his recorded existence. Since Pretty Hate Machine, the concept behind Reznor's work with Nine Inch Nails has been blunt and straightforward: dystopian techno-metal forged from the fusion of man and machine. But since last year's Year Zero, which came bundled with an alternate ... Read More:

I recently seen these guys (as well as 4 other bands) in concert. I believe that on Crue's part, it was a good move to get together with bands like Buckcherry & Sixx:AM and come out with an album. This I would say, got Motley Crue out of their hiatus, and put them back on track. All of the songs are recognizably Crue, and if you ask me it is Saints Of Los Angeles sells this CD. It was well sung by Crue as well as Josh Todd (lead singer of Buckcherry) and Jacoby Shaddix (lead sing of Papa Roach) and others involved.
I believe that Papa Roach has also benefited from being able to be a part of Crue's tour and their album SOLA, and bands such as Trapt benefit from exposure. So all in all I find this a 5 star album and recommend to Crue fans that you ... Read More:

You know how some girls like the bad boy types? Well this little nugget appeals to all types of girls & boys alike! I haven't been a HUGE fan of KID ROCK's but when I heard AMEN on the radio, I was intrigued. I also had heard "TOO HOT" which makes you curious....After getting the CD, I love to play it over & over. It's a very diverse mix of good/bad & dirty! LOVE IT! I think my favorite at this moment is "NEW ORLEANS". Play it loud!
The two previous reviews have it right. As an older fan who has followed Judas Priest from the early 80's, this album is a welcome relief from the dirth of power chord only nu metal and shock rock which requires little or no musical virtuosity. Priest have proven themselves over the years and a concept is nothing new to older Rock fans and for a major band to produce one today is risky. For the skeptical, please listen to this album in it's entirety. It's not the type of album that is a all catchy hooks and chorus. The music will diversify with each listen. Remember, these guys are the pros and they have deliver the goods. For the fans that want straight ahead power chords and metal riffs this album has that and ... Read More:

Over the years, there have only been a small handful of bands that have released three consecutive #1 albums; Van Halen, Metallica and U2 to name a few. Disturbed is part of that group. This disc is the band's follow up to "Ten Thousand Fists" and there's no danger of their winning streak being broken any time soon as this is lucky number 3 for the band. When the band released their first CD, "The Sickness", in 2000, they were lumped in with a batch of other new bands at the time under the 'Nu Metal' tag but that label really didn't fit this band as Disturbed stood apart from that crowd with more melodic songs and David Draiman's unique vocal prowess and trademark grunts. Within a few years the band rose to the top of the hard rock mountain, garnering both critical ... Read More:

When I first saw the name of this band I immediately thought they were the latest heavy metal band on the scene. Boy, was I wrong! Then seeing the front sticker on the CD bearing Tom Petty's name clued me in a little more as to what they would probably sound like, but this is Tom Petty literally returning to his roots by recording an album with his 1970 band, of which some of the band members are also part of The Heartbreakers.
For those of you who are only familiar with Tom Petty via the songs that have made it to commercial radio, this CD will seem like a departure, a giant leap away from his Top 40 and adult contemporary days of long ago. Right from the start, with "Shady Grove", it's obvious that this is a different road for Tom to follow, even though it's a ... Read More:

So as the Beatles ventured on in there career there images changed, culture changed and rock and roll changed for them and all of us. It was all for the better though when it came to the Beatles music, Sergent Pepper marks a definitive stage in the Beatles career as it shows you just how far there horizon could stretch in music, and how they could record albums like "a hard days night" revolver or even rubber soul and then make an album like this that has a completely different sound and makes you wonder how the hell they went from making types of songs that are on rubber soul and revolver into this in just a short period of time, its like me when i liked rap music and then a year later began listening to the Beatles and other legends and completely wiping out the word ... It's not necessarily his 16 best songs, but these are arguably his 16 best-known ones. A casual Neil Young listener myself, I found this collection to be a decent, no-frills sampler of his career, similar in scope to the Bachman-Cummings Songbook cd by touching on various solo & group work. It does focus on his prime 70's period, so don't expect any 80's electronica experiments or 90's Pearl Jam collaborations here (although the 80's & 90's are represented by one song each), just the great standards heard every day on classic rock radio. The sound is nicely remastered, and although it does miss many of his classics, it is a pretty good starting point for those getting into the guy's catalogue. The hard-core fans probably won't need this, especially since there's not much ... Read More:

Ironically The Beatles entitled their Sgt. Pepper follow-up "The Beatles" when it was really a solo effort by four musicians. There are few harmonies on this album, and minmial songwriting collaboration. Also, a good third of the songs are disposable (by Beatle standards) such as Honey Pie and Piggies.
Yet despite the dips in quality, The White Album is an album I play regularly from start to finish. I suppose that a lot of the White Album's charm comes from the sequencing of songs that juxtapose rock with country with folk with experimental; that four composers are at work; Paul excels with Back in the USSR and Blackbird; that George's songwriting takes a big step forward (White My Guitar Gently Weeps just may be the best cut); that John returns to the forefront ...
