I love many othe Neil Young albums ...... but not like this one, the classic of classics.
It is sooooo "rusty" and "raw" emotionally and musically and so "pure" from the heart.
The band is so tight, Neil;s voice on this still gives me goose bumps. The rawness that just cuts you up.
Cinnamon Girl - Opens up the album with those wonderous guitar. Tremendous power in them licks, from the gut. I can hear that song 1000 times in a row.
Then we have this country, folk stuff added with Cowgirl and Down By The River. Cowgirl my favorite and after years and years, never board of that long solo that kills with that unique power, passion and "roughness" of that solo ... Read More:

Three Days Grace sounds like one of the many coporate rock clones of today. While some may argue this is an original sound, that is not true at all. Bands have done this music, much better before. They just sound likes clones of bands like Finger Eleven, except more "dark".
The tagline for this cd should be "buy this cd! Annoy your parents and neighbors" since that is all it really is going to do. Sadly, even though this is quite a new band, I'm giving it one star, since it is in it just for the cash, and can't carry a tune.

The first three singles from One X have topped the Billboard Mainstream charts. Animal I have Become reached #1. Pain reached #1. Never Too Late has reached #1 this week. Three Days Grace have delivered a hugely successful album with three #1 singles from the album. Yes, this album should have won a Juno award- but Award shows are all political and quite often, the artist or song that deserves to win is overlooked or cast aside. Juno Awards aside, this is quite possibly one of the best rock albums from 2006. Three Days Grace have a promising future and this Canadian act know how to deliver!! One X is a masterpiece. An amazing album!!

Whereas NIN's previous release Ghosts I-IV may have isolated fans not appreciative of the band's quiet experimental side, The Slip is closer to the band's established sound and fits nicely alongside albums like With Teeth and Year Zero. No two Nine Inch Nails albums are alike and this is no exception to that rule. While The Slip is less noisy per se than Year Zero, it still maintains an experimental edge while melding in an electro-rock sound. The songs transition well on the album and the effort placed in is very much noticeable, but continuity is a bit of an issue. For me, I get a little tired of it after the first half but then I have friends who insist that the second half is the better one. It is available as a free download on the official website ... If I could have gave it more stars i would have.
I've read quite a few of these reviews and I don't think people should call this a "punk" LP. I have been the proud & not-so-proud purchaser of over 12,000 LP's ... I have some pretty raw Punk records "the Clash" 1st LP was Punk....not London Calling.
London Calling was in my opinion the best LP of all time....everysingle song is excellant...Spanish bombs is my favourite. Train In Vain was supposed to be a flexible Single included in a Playboy type magazine but that deal fell through so it was late being included in the package.
If there is someone out there thinking about buying this....then do it.
Listen to this 10 times and you will see why this LP has consistently ... Read More:

Killer (1971.) Alice Cooper's fourth album.
Once Alice Cooper's band got a major record deal, they finally got the opportunity to make themselves known to the masses - an opportunity they had so desperately needed for so long. Their first album on a major label, Love It To Death, beautifully demonstrated that the band had come of age in terms of their sound. Needless to say, the band wanted to follow that album up. Before 1971 had come to an end, the band released its fourth studio album, Killer. This was their second to be released on a major label. How do Alice Cooper, Glen Buxton, Neal Smith, Dennis Dunaway, and Michael Bruce measure up this time around? Read on for my review.
I'll put it in the simplest terms possible - this is Alice Cooper's BEST ... Read More:

It strikes me that Harvest Moon is clearly a hearkening back to Harvest, released some 20 years earlier. As such, it (unfortunately) begs to be reviewed by comparison....I say unfortunately because my appreciation of this album dropped dramatically once I had heard Harvest again.
The magic of Harvest was that the themes and their presentation were varied and fresh, almost naive, Neil was pushing the cusp of his world, groping for his identity amidst the dramatically expanded world in front of him (thanks to his success as a very young musician).
Harvest Moon, while I will agree with other reviewers who note its overall quality, tightness of lyrics and seamless music, comes off as a well textured choreographed album. It has none of the quite rawness of Needle and the Damage ... Read More:

Guns N' Roses delivered on this album with You Could Be Mine, Civil War, Estranged and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. GUns N" Roses produced a masteriece with both Use Your Illusion I and II and no matter how hard Velvet Revolver tries, they will never ever be able to duplicate the success of GUns N" Roses. The most successful metal bands in the 90s were Guns N' Roses and Metallica and they delivered masterpieces. Use Your Illusion II is a must-have for any metal fan.
