A Very Special Christmas is the first in an excellent series of Christmas music CDs that no fan of holiday tunes can afford to be without. The quality of the sound is great and the diversity of the artists means that there's practically something for everyone on the CD.

Several highlights on this album come to mind right away. I like The Pointer Sisters doing an awesome job on "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town;" they harmonize well and the percussion along with the arrangement gives this holiday classic just a twist of a more modern, jazzy flavor. The Eurythmics also do a great job on "Winter Wonderland;" the melody moves along very well and they use the percussion well. Moreover, Whitney Houston's "Do You Hear What I Hear" has a great ... If you can accept that Queen did not die with Freddie Mercury you will be thrilled with The Cosmos Rocks. Is it Queen of old...no. Paul Rodgers adds a whole new dimention to the music of Queen. Brian May's guitar riffs and Roger Taylor on drums are just as amazing and fresh as ever. Superb from start to finish!!!

For a Greatest Hits -collection, this is an excellent one. Containing all Queen-hits from 1974-1980, CD provides a lot of pure listening fun.

Casual fans make a good buy with this, but required is Greatest Hits II containing later hits by Queen, from 1982-1991. With these two you get a pretty good view for why Queen was and still is so special.

So why purchase this edition and not the older one? (Greatest Hits originally in vinyl 1981) Well, as technology develops, we get better sound with these newer CDs.
Also, this disc contains a rare singles edition of I'm In Love With My Car (from A Night At The Opera -album), not included in the original edition. It's a good song, well worth listening, to put it mildly.

The Eagles have 2 previously released Greatest Hits packages.
Both of those are very good, but do not include all of their best material.
Songs like James Dean and Doolin Dalton are not included.
This package also includes their best from "Hell freezes Over"
This is the first time they all appear on one CD collection.
The Eagles have always been among the best American groups and have always appealed to Pop, Rock, and Country Music fans.
This CD includes every song that I would want in a Very Best of Collection.....This was long over due.........enjoy

...How far off, I sat and wondered... Started humming a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves?

As a child of the 60s already feeling out of place in the late 70s, those lines pierced me to the heart. How many nights as a teenager full of angst did I listen to the sound of thunder and count off the seconds trying to determine when the storm would arrive? Because, of course, when the rain would come, I could sleep like a child again.

Yeah, Bob Seger grabbed me when that song came out in 1976 and I've been a fan ever since. You could even say that his songs are cliches of my life: Like a Rock, We've Got Tonight, Still the Same, Against the Wind, Rock and Roll Never Forgets and so on.

It may be the worst named box set in history, but it does what it sets out to do - deliver authentic minature reproductions of every Pink Floyd album. It is nothing short of beautiful in its presentation, and the quality is as good as I've ever heard. Yes the industry is shameful for taking advatage of we the listeners with yet another hyped up box set that would cost far less if one were to buy each album individually, but the LP style sleeves are a work of art themselves. So relax, enjoy and have a cigar. For years I have wanted to crown the music industry - they should have made CD's come in LP sleeves right from the start.

P.S. The poster is very cool too.
