For people who love Feist, I apoligize. I simply do not think her music lives up to the hype. All her songs seem to teeter on the edge of profound, only to crash back into 'forgettable'. Listening to her music, I am struck by the idea that she dislikes what she does, which is frankly, a little depressing.

Yael Naim

Like many people, I got this album because of the MacBook Air laptop ad featuring the track "New Soul", which is already released as a single. Yael Naim is a French artiste now living in Israel, and the tracks are in Hebrew, French and English.

She has a distinctive singing voice, and specializes in sultry jazzy numbers, sometimes with a folksy lilt. The song of the album is of course "New Soul", and there's an unusual, unexpected and very strange interpretation of "Toxic", originally sung by Britney Spears.

Other tracks to note are:

"Paris" - sung in Hebrew and French, which translated is an ode to her favorite city.

A must have for every AC/DC fan.
Watching this band from day 1 until now, it is obvious this is without a doubt one of the tightest concert bands in history.
This band has never mailed in a performance. Listening to songs over 30 years old and they still stand the test of time.

Can't wait for their newest CD, if it ever happens. AC/DC will and should go down, as the greatest rock and roll band EVER.

"All Things Must Pass" was George Harrison's first real solo album ( the previous only contained instrumentals). Most of the songs were written while the Beatles were still existing, and George was writing so many great songs during the final years of the 1960's that, when the Beales finally folded in early 1970, he had songs enough for a double album. Eventually it turned out to be a triple album, with the 3rd record containing "jams" with George and his good friends, such as Eric Clapton, Dave Mason, Carl Radle and Jim Gordon.

The energy on all these tracks is superb - Keith Moon plays non stop flat out - just brilliant. Recording is very good. Is it preferable to the DeLuxe version ? Well the Deluxe version is a slightly richer sound - a bit more bass, but the original Canadian MCA remaster is very good also.
I only bought the deluxe cd for the original album anyway, and this one to compare the remastering. The advantage of having 2 is that you can have one in the house and one in the car. What could be better!

A definite buy for any Daniel O'Donnell fan. Video clips from over the years; we get to see him when he was very young, right up until the present (Can You Feel the Love, which is his latest). In between clips, from his home, he tells us a bit about each video. And the scenery is just beautiful.

Do we really need yet another best of Van Morrison? He's got to be gaining on the the "Best Of.." leader, Bob Dylan. What I would like to see is some remastering of some of the classic albums like Astral Weeks with the inclusion of the stuff that did not make it on to the vinyl release all those years ago. That would make me excited and want to buy an album of old Van Morrison stuff.

AC/DC'S THE RAZOR'S EDGE is one of their best albums and produced a #1 video on MuchMusic's countdown with Thunderstruck and topped the Canadian singles chart.

AC/DC proved that they could still be successful and there's no doubt that Brian Johnson is the best singer for AC/DC and you know what, I think Bon Scott would approve of his replacement.
