Attention -- apparently the Ting Tings have been pronounced the Big New Thing Du Jour in the world of pop music, as they dropped their debut album and were featured on an iPod commercial.
So are they worth it, listeners? Well, at least the title of "We Started Nothing" is forthright about what their album does -- it starts nothing, only produces a stream of catchy, simplistic pop with an indie-electronic flair. It's a fun little listen until after the first single, but then the easily-digestible dancey stuff ends up being galling after the first couple songs.
It opens with a strummed guitar and series of synth pops, with Kate White announcing, "Fed up with your indigestion/Swallow words one by one... Nothing but ... Read More:

This cd is a beautiful result of living in Spain and creating! it is simply a gorgeous cd, speaks to me of far away culture and romance!
It is a favourite in my collection and whenever I play it for friends, they always ask...who is this?

Contradictor is a fabulous follow up to Ndidi's first disc. Contradictor is more mature and more R&B based than the blues & gospel of "No I Never". Production by Steve Dawson is superb and the musicians tight. Some really outstanding horn arrangements - check out "SK Final". Some great rockers like "Rise". "Boogie MB" is a flat out boogie that John Lee Hooker would be proud of. And she even does a sweet Harry Nilsson cover "He Needs Me"! And for whatever reason this full length CD is only $2.99! Get one quick, put it on, turn it up and get ready to boogie.

...an obvious reference to the tears of joy you will cry when you hear this masterpiece?
Well, we all know the band. Opeth has been near the top of the metal world for years now, which should come to be expected from such brilliant song-writers. All eyes were on them to see which direction they would take after their last album, Ghost Reveries, effectively split their fanbase while securing Opeth's spot amongst the mainstream greats of metal.
Well, first of all, I guess we should have expected Watershed to be a lighter offering than classic albums like Still Life and Blackwater Park. Like Ghost Reveries, Watershed has an obvious focus on clean singing and passages. That isn't to say it doesn't bring the heaviness in sections ... Read More:

In a way I think Jaydee Bixby's loss on Canadian Idol was probably the best thing that could have happened. He put this CD together his way and kept that rugged and extremely handsome look.
If you love Country and Western Music, you are going to love this CD. Absolutely fantastic and if this doesn't bring Jaydee Bixby a Country and Western Music Award, it will be a shock.
Old Fashioned Girl is fantastic, although Cowboys and Cadillacs is a personal favorite.
When I listen to this CD it is hard to imagine I am listening to a very young man who by now must be 18. Jaydee all the very best to you, you never gave up and now you have belted out a CD that rates up there with the likes of Garth Brooks, etc. Your career ... Read More:

I was amazed the first time i heard this album and everytime I play it I get the same feeling. I enjoyed most of the duets but somehow I can't take to the one Everyday People (with Carole King) and The Only Promise That Remains (with Justin Timberlake) . There is just something about it. I suppose you would have to be a fan of Carole King and Justin Timberlake to enjoy it. Harsh? No. Just stating that there are some people that don't mesh and I consider it to be them 2. However, I have truly enjoyed the duets with Ronnie Dunn, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny Chesney, Don Henley. They were amazing and I continue to play this album at work to promote it.
