This movie is very choppy- may different things going on-hard to figure out the point--although William Petersen is as sexy and handsome as on CSI- only younger-- what expression's he has on his beautiful face- can't quite figure out WHY? he never made a BIG film-like Tom Cruise-he's every bit as good- & so georgeous to look at-what a face--YUM-YUM

starring: Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Sam Neill, James Earl Jones
directed by: John McTiernan

January 06, 2004
this is a very well done and engaging political thriller.it's base on an event which may or may not have occurred in 1984.it's about a rogue Russian Submarine that has disappeared and may be headed toward American territory.the question is,why?both the Russians and the U.S are hunting the sub and have their own reasons for doing so.but time is of the essence.the movie is basically a psychological suspense thriller.this isn't what i would call a nail biting movie, though it does has its moments.it's more of a character study,of one man in particular, the commander of the Russian sub.the last 30 minutes or so are quite tense and down to the wire.the whole movie is highly dramatic but not at all boring, thanks to good writing and directing.Larry ... Teenage Theatre Carnival

starring: Dick Miller, Terry Blake, James Burton (II), Ed Nelson, Dorothy Neumann
directed by: Roger Corman

August 12, 1997
Christy, owner of a seedy nightclub, loves Natalie. But Natalie loves a clean-cut gambler, and Christy is going a bit mad because of it. Yawn. Well, this is a forgettable film. If you're going to see it at all, see the Exploitica version.

Two of a Kind

starring: John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Charles Durning, Beatrice Straight, Scatman Crothers
directed by: John Herzfeld

June 06, 1995
Well, I admit, hearing Olivia Newton-John swear for the first time made me uncomfortable, but aside from that, the movie was not terrible. Olivia is really a great actress! She and John Travolta really did well together in this film. This movie really has a great soundtrack, too.

Barbarians At The Gate

starring: James Garner, Jonathan Pryce, Peter Riegert, Joanna Cassidy, Fred Dalton Thompson
directed by: Glenn Jordan

April 11, 2000
This is a great movie, particularly for someone interested in true stories of corporate behavior. Several of my finance professors when I was pursing my MBA recommended this movie. I was not disappointed.

Due to a high volume of profanity, this movie is not appropriate for young children.

Feds

starring: Rebecca De Mornay, Mary Gross, Ken Marshall, Fred Dalton Thompson, Larry Cedar
directed by: Daniel Goldberg

July 18, 1990
I have enjoyed watching this movie everytime I see it. For the past couple years I haven't been able to find it by renting it, but I've finally ordered it online. This is such a great movie because it is about being the only two females in their training group and succeeding beyond anyones amazement. I too am going to college for my BA in Law Enforcement and wish to become an FBI agent and this is such a great movie because it gives me a silly sense of what to expect or not to expect. I know this was done in 1988 but still, its a weird way of being goofy with FBI agents.

Jane Eyre

starring: Zelah Clarke, Timothy Dalton, Sian Pattenden, Judy Cornwell, Robert James
directed by: Julian Amyes

October 17, 1995
I love this version of Jane Eyre. I would go to the library and borrow the VHS version at least once or twice a year. Now it's on DVD, huzzah!

Oh, and Timothy Dalton just may have the most perfect English voice in the world.

Sting II, the

starring: Jackie Gleason, Mac Davis, Teri Garr, Karl Malden, Oliver Reed
directed by: Jeremy Paul Kagan

September 01, 1998
In 1973, Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Robert Shaw starred in "The Sting," which won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In 1983, Jackie Gleason, Mac Davis, and Oliver Reed starred in "The Sting II," which narrowly beat out "Caddyshack II" for my award for the worst sequel of all time. Jackie Gleason (Henry Gondorff) and Mac Davis (Johnny Hooker), in addition to being laughably bad replacements for Newman and Redford, have no screen chemistry together. Oliver Reed (Doyle Lonnegan) bellows his way through the film, having none of the subtlety of Robert Shaw. Karl Malden chews scenery as the new villain Macalinski, who is being set up for the latest con job. The only reason the movie studio greenlighted this turkey is to make money ... Read More:
