This all time classic Walt Disney film, will get your heart pumping with feelings of joy and love. It will show you that love can be found in unexpected places. This fairly tale takes place a long time ago. Belle¢s father, an inventor, was on his way to a fair, but took a wrong turn and ended up at a castle. When he doesn¢t return home, Belle sets off to look for him, and in turn becomes a prisoner in the ferocious beast¢ castle, where it¢s filled with talking furniture, who in the end turn back into there human form. Now Belle no longer has to look into books for an adventure, for she is on one of her own. As the two spend many days and nights together, Belle shows the beast how to love. This ... Read More:

I love this movie. They are really great! Does anyone know the name of the evil organ song that Forte plays with fife in the room (when the camera zooms in from the window). I think that I love this movie more than my kids do!!
I find myself singing along with the songs, and The story is very heartwarming. I relate to poor Max and his exasperation at some of his father's goofiness...I remember the days when I was mortified to be seen in public with my Parents!!
I loved it so much I went out and got the sequel "An extremely Goofy movie" and I was so sad to see that it did not live up to the original...no catchy music!! The music in the first one is the best part!! I was very dissapointed.
You will love this movie not only for the Music, but also for the lessons that it teaches your children about family. I have found a favorite for a lifetime!!

This is a great movie, and the DVD video quality is excellent. However, Disney has remixed the soundtrack, and has left it very thin.
The introduction sequence is a spectacular extravaganza of animation, and is a classic presentation, however the original VHS audio was superior.
I thought perhaps I was imagining the low quality, so I plugged in my VHS version.
The waterfall can be heard rumbling in the VHS track, but is almost absent on the DVD.
The Elephant footprints come down with such force on the original that you are nearly vibrated off your seat, again on the DVD they are less than impressive.
Finally the finale - the powerful concluding thud on the drum that vibrates the walls and echos for several seconds. The VHS ... Read More:

While this was probably one of the better Direct-to-video releases Disney produced - it was *far* from memorable. Bringing Jafar back seemed like some sort of cop-out - as if there were no other villans or adventures to chase. It played out like a gigantic episode from the TV series (which I also remember watching, but not with any kind of fervor.)
And somehow, creating a sequel for Aladdin felt cheap - it was a feeling I couldn't rid myself of during the entire film.

The test of a truly extraordinary production, long or short, is its ability to evoke a broad range of human emotions, and that is exactly what "A Pinky and the Brain Christmas" does. From the opening scene, in which Pinky gleefully sings "Deck the Halls" while sliding down a decorative Christmas ribbon, to the ending, when they exchange gifts, our little mouse friends take us on an emotional journey. We laugh hysterically as they are flown to the North Pole by a character strangely similar to "Large Marge" in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure". Later, we are captivated by Brain's brilliant pitch and Pinky's familiar, delightful giggle, as they interview to become new elves in Santa's workshop. Then, in the the end, when ... Read More:

Scorcese & Pileggi's masterpiece on the life of Henry Hill as a Brooklyn NY mob wise-guy is great film. While not my favorite Martin Scorsese movie it is a stunning achievement, and one of his very best movies.
As much as the true events of Henry's life have more than likely been dramatized and glamorized to a certain extent, the essence of this film in my observation is that it is still a brilliantly damning portrayal of the characters and lifestyle of mobsters.
The sham of the Mafiosi is exposed - preaching loyalty, respect & principles - but when it comes down to it they are just two-bit criminals that'll stab each other in the back for money or power over others. Each of them has an inflated sense of self-worth and ... Read More:

Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" follows the themes of all of its movies, an outcaste hero, a evil villain and a beautiful heroine. The animation details bring the characters to full life and action, as does the comedy that is supplied by Quasimodo's three gargoyle friends. This being a Disney movie, the characters brake into song every 10 to 15 minutes. The songs add and expand the plot in a way with would catch children's ears. The songs are also sung be the characters voices in real life which adds to the effect. The plot is well developed and the theme of tolerance plays well to parents wanting their children to watch something that "teaches life lessons". I would highly recommend this movie to any parent who wants their kids to enjoy themselves and ... Read More:

This was one of my absolute favorite films to watch as a kid. This is evidenced by the fact that last week when I decided to watch it again for the first time in a dog's age, my poor old VHS tape was worn out like you wouldn't believe. What's worse, my mom's cheap VCR mangled the tape when I ejected it... and that very evening I came straight on here and bought the DVD. So now I probably don't have to tell you that I think this is a wonderful film. But it really is! No matter how old I get, my appreciation for it is never shaken. I'd say it has aged better than just about any other movie from my childhood. The charm of the story and characters hasn't faded, nor do they seem out of date after 20 years.
One thing I really admire this film for ... Read More:
