NOW, when this one hit the big screen about half a century ago! What a Stirr!

THEN it was followed by the musical and that 'other movie' - also excellent. This one resonates perhaps just slightly more, more hints of 'actual'. Gone are the 'gorgeous people' ..... except maybe for Laurence Harvey as our Hero.

Each episode of this masterpiece conveys a sense of dread and impending horror. This is achieved by gradually turning reality askew until it's a nightmare. No need for chainsaws and chop-chop. Unfortunately, the print I received must have been pirated by a drunken one-armed lodger with Parkinson's Disease, sitting in a vibrating chair in a dumpy London flat while struggling to keep his Toys R Us video camera trained on the flickering blue screen of a 10-inch Dumont TV situated behind the dirty window of an apartment on the other side of the Thames during a foggy night.

"Never Let me Go" is a wonderful movie starring Clark Gable and Jean Tierney. It is full of Romance and adventure. Gable is a Journalist in Russia at the end of world war II.Tierney is a ballerina. They both fall in love , get married, and try to leave Russia by plane. The Russian officials prevent this from happening. Wife and husband are seperated. It is now up to Gable to figure out a way of getting his wife out of Russia. He risks his life for the woman he loves. Now, that is love.Please, release this movie onto DVD.
