directed by: Erik Anjou

I have to say that even though Teti Hatcher's performance was good the movie itself was terrible. The plot was pretty dumb and the situations that take place in the movie are not believable. I can;t believe I wasted my money on this one!

directed by: John Herzfeld

I found this film to be absolutely fantastic! The story was interesting, the cast was intriguing and the humor/sarcasm was witty and unique. I found myself laughing at times just because of the characters' interesting behaviors.

The film begins with a murder-for-hire. Eventually, the hit men and a wide range of other characters come together through coincidence and circumstance and are forced to resolve their issues while trying to escape from San Fernando Valley, California.

The storyline of this film is a bit crazy, but the characters invloved are all excellent and hold the viewer's attention. James Spader is particularly good as Lee, a cold-blooded murderer who is obsessed with time, especially the importance of a single ... Read More:

Tomorrow Never Dies

starring: Pierce Brosnan, Jonathan Pryce, Michelle Yeoh, Teri Hatcher, Ricky Jay
directed by: Roger Spottiswoode

The movie playing last week was As a longtime James Bond fan I had to see Tomorrow Never Dies, or James Bond versus Jonathan Price.

A communications mogul (Price) sets up a communications satellite monopoly, which, unlike DeBeers and other monopolies, is allowed to operate in the United States. To further his power, Price is creating news and having the stories ready as the news happens. His ultimate goal is to start World War III and control all communications afterwards. He will do this by using his armada of communications satellites which will broadcast to a dying world where electromagnetic pulses have rendered televisions inoperable. Oh, I guess he didn't think far enough ahead.

Utilizing the common man's (or should I say scriptwriter's) ... Read More:

Dead in the Water

starring: Bryan Brown, Teri Hatcher, Anne De Salvo, Veronica Cartwright, Seymour Cassel
directed by: Bill Condon

For inspired casting, try putting Australian Bryan Brown--native accent intact--in the role of corrupt American lawyer Charlie Deegan whose marriage is crumbling and whose secretary is too luscious to ignore. What this does is highlight the corruption on display by playing up Charlie's personality to the max. Very smart.

Charlie comes up with a plan to get rid of his oh-so-wealthy wife that looks completely foolproof, but we all know that in these noir flicks, things NEVER go as planned. Do they? Nope. The plan is to bump her off, inherit her money and run off with Laura the luscious secretary. Unfortunately fate has other things in mind.

The direction here, by Bill Condon, is whip smart-tight. The music is perfect, underscoring the black humor on display, including an opening tune sung by Louis Armstrong. ... Read More:

I don't know how I missed this movie. I had never heard of it until I saw it on cable, but it is hilarious. Fran Drescher is too funny as the wife of the director, ol' Kevin Bakey is darling as always and Teri Hatcher is quite convincing as the social climber.

Since Youve Been Gone

starring: David Schwimmer, Philip Rayburn Smith, Joey Slotnick, Joy E. Gregory, Laura Eason
directed by: David Schwimmer

This movie is pretty funny. There are some cute little gags, but the best part of the whole movie is definitely the hotel front desk clerk, who is played by David Downs. He's hilarious! He has a lot of great facial expressions, and even though he doesn't have any lines, you know that there's a lot going on with him. He has Treplev eyes, for sure. He's one actor I'll definitely keep my eye on in the future!
