Final Fantasy 2

PSP, which by now can be considered as a massive failure on the part of Sony when compared to the DS, has that monicure in large part to this and games like these, ports of old games. Final Fantasy II is a re-done and up-res'd version of a classic game. Once again the load times play a factor on the PSP with this game, and like many Final Fantasy games it follows the story-line of a rebellion of just a few against a great and powerful empire that is bent on taking over the world. I was impressed at the cut-scene that I saw at the beginning of the game, but I haven't seen one since, the graphics have been improved, and asides that it's just your average, classic Final Fantasy game done up a little. Also this may not seem like a big deal, ... Read More:

Dungeons and Dragons Tactics

I like DnD. I play the pen and paper. I play DDO. I played through all the Gold box and Bioware titles. This was so close to a home run, except the interface cripples the game. Game play and scenarios are true to 3.5 rules set. The rules accuracy makes the game a great tactical experience. In fact I prefer the combat here, to Final Fantasy Tactics. Spell effects and combat feats are all faithfully reproduced. The interface is the downfall of the game. To carry out any simple action you have to navigate through at least three drop down menus, and look for your action related modifiers you may want to add to it. This is often time consuming and frustrating. I can live with it during combat. It sorta works ok, if a bit clunky. Where it is a ... Read More:

Tales of the World: Radiant Myth

Childrens Toy Shop > Video Games > Role-Playing
from: Namco

July 17, 2007
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythologies, is part of an on-going series of games that have apparently been always secondary to Square Enix and the Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest franchises. However, with this robust game there is a lot to do even though it's a PSP title, from character customization to quests, story based and side quests, all make for an interesting game. With your birth at the foot of the World Tree, you must build your own character who is the new savior of Terresian, sorry if I mispelled it, you choose the appearence of your character, mind this is a PSP title, not a platform game, so there isn't a huge selection process, but it's still cool, considering the very great graphics and character animations as well as some voice ... Valkyrie Profile Lenneth

This is the PSP port version of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on PlayStation.
Overall, the new CG movies are great. But the game does need some more enhancements, especially backgrounds in the dungeons where Lenneth must travel to fight monsters and demons.

The battle system is quite complex, and you'll need sometime getting used to. I would suggest that beginners play in EASY MODE for practice in the first half of Chapter 1, or at least, until you've really understood the system, and the system menu (it's crucial that you understand what each value means; if you choose to ignore them, you might totally slack-off and get a bad ending).

The worst thing in this game is probably the voice-acting of the characters... very ... Read More:
