I'm still putting five stars for these games even though I never played them completely. They are well liked and my personal preferences should not affect the total rating.

This review is more of a warning to those who, just like me, never had a playstation 1 but only playstation 2 or 3. If you tried Final Fantasy 10 or more recent ones and thought 'Why not try the older ones?', please, do your homework first and check websites of the earlier games to know what you are buying. I read the reviews and bought it. This was not my cup of tea. I simply cannot stand the two dimentional graphics. It is nothing like the new games. No offence to everyone who likes it, but it is not to everyones taste.

Ps One Memory Card

For anyone who has more than three PS1 games, your going to need one of these. Now that PS2 is out, these really aren't in demand as much, since many kids are just jumping on the gaming band wagon with the PS2 and have no PS1 games to speak of. For all us others who have been around since the SNES was a baby (me being 16) it is almost a guarantee you'll need, and probably already own one of these. Obviously this is your only choice, and it does what it promises, it saves your games, and will keep them their, inless you wash it (an infuriating mistake.) Unfortuneately, this is a very inconvienant way to store data, since there are only 15 blocks, and many games can take upward of three blcoks just to save one file. Since these aren't in demand ... This game is very similar to Pokemon Ruby, but there are many more trainers inside. I would say that if you already have Ruby or Sapphire not to buy Emerald.

this game was alot of fun. the last boss was really easy in fact all the bosses were easy. even if i had to give my memory card to my friend for him to help me i still say it is fun. hey wanna know who the last boss is. he is a black tall elf. if u have super smash his is in the first row and he has a giant lighting looking sword. give up. y don't u buy this game a see for your self.

Super Mario World

This is the original Super Mario World game from Super NES but now transformed into a Gameboy world. This game is awesome and one of the best in the Mario series (Super Mario Bros. 3 first and tied with Super Mario 64). It's a much better play if you have the Gameboy Player for Gamecube so you can play it on the big screen just like old times but either way, this game will have you playing for hours on end.
The best features about this game are the fact that you can be both Mario and Luigi, have Yoshi (in 5 different colours I might add) and the exclaimation mark stages, the first one (yellow) is the best. This game has so many stages and secrets. The Star World is awesome, especially the Special Stage World, I wish they still made games ... Read More:

Gamecube Memory Card 251

Now, it's not the biggest memory card available for the system, but it is great for people who just got the system and have a couple of games. I've had my memory card for years now and I've never had it completly full, until my girlfriend wanted to save her game files. Only than did I have to delete a game file of mine.

So, if you just purchased the gamecube I recommend starting out with a memory card 251. The price on amazon.ca is reasonable on here with the retail value being over $24 in Canada. Happy Gaming!

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is a turn-based tactical RPG, in that you only fight battles and don't choose where to explore or where to travel to next, but there's still RPG elements such as levelling up, stats (stats lovers will *love* this game), class changes, etc. The battles are interesting and challenging, and like other Fire Emblem games, if a character dies in battle, that's it - he or she is gone for good. It makes you choose your tactics very carefully, but is also a bit of a headache when you've almost cleared a map that's taken a good 45 minutes to finish (no in-battle saves, except for suspend) and one of your characters die.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

Super Mario Bros. 3 was the biggest video game of my generation. I was 9 when it came out. There was so much buzz to this game (partly due to the movie "The Wizard") I remember practically half my 4th grade class talked about it for show and tell. Granted, I played SMB3 into the ground back then to the point where I became bored to tears with it. Still, it's been 14 years, and what once was old, now is new.

So what's so cool about this release that it earns 4 stars and is actually worth the $30-$35? Well, it's portable, you can save anywhere, you can play with a friend with only one game boy because of the alternating nature of the 2-player game, you can save replays of the level's you've beaten, you can now store up to 4 rows of items as opposed to ... Tales of Symphonia

I agree with all remarks of amazingness on this game. The only problem I had with it is the camera is terrible for co-op play. Seriously. This was fixed up for the PS2 version; why not for the Gamecube? All they had to do was not include zoom, but as is, even with multiple players, the camera zooms into player 1, making all other players off screen which is no fun. They "learned" to play off screen, but really, they shouldn't have had to.

Other than that, best game on the gamecube (but I've not played Zelda yet).
