If you played any Tales game or if like me you only played Tales of Symphonia and liked it, you're going to love this one. I'm not that far into the game but I already can't stop playing it. Storywise so far I can't say much but I like what I saw. Something I find quite nice is that the voices are done by the same people who made Tales of Symphonia so you'll recognize them the minute you hear them. The combat is in realtime like in Symphonia but you can now move around in 3D instead of just left and right. The graphics are anime style like the other games but with the power of the 360 everything looks really great.
It's been a long time since a game hooked me like that. This is a must buy in my book. If you're not convinced, rent ... Read More:

I liked some of the features where you can use the Wii remote and nunchuck as ski poles to move your chracter around like you do in real life. And it is interesting using the wii fit board as you skis to turn right or left. But after a while the game got really boring. Some of the race battles were good, but other times your just skiing around seeing some nice things and talking to some characters. Going up the mountain with a chair lift and ski down and you do this repeatedly. I'd rather do this on a real mountain where I'll have more fun. Some of the graphics were good though, but that was all.

Tales of the Abyss is the eighth installment in the main Tales series (in Japan), and in my opinion, by far the best. It shines in every aspect, but more so gameplay and characters.
The battle system incorporates things such as "capacity cores", which increase your stats at level up depending on the type you have equipped to your character. "Fon slot chambers", which you are able to equip on a characters skills or "artes" and each of the four chambers have a variety of effects. "AD Skills", which are various boosts (there's quite a lot of them!) earned by using capacity cores. They sometimes make battles too easy, but you're able to turn off any if you'd like to.
Battles in Abyss begin after touching an enemy in a dungeon ... Read More:

I intially enjoy the refreshing change of pace with the action oriented gameplay, but ultimately mashing my way through battle after battle grows a little tiresome, even with acquiring a few various skillsover the course of the game. The plots are generally quite horrific; monoliths of trite, overwrought cliches and heavy handed subthemes about racism that are usually as subtle as a brick to the face. Legendia was no different.

I got this game at WalMart the other day for $18.98. Unbelievable graphics! Great story, even if there are some cliches used. The combat system is unique, and I thought it would be tedious and boring, but I was dead wrong. It is great! I highly recommend this game. It brings back memories from yesteryear, back when I used to play RPGs on my NES and SNES consoles. Go get it now!
