 Rating:  - Adventure in the Land of WavesThis second volume of the Naruto manga resolves the cliff-hanger from the last volume relatively swiftly and the action soon concentrates on the missions that Naruto and friends get up to as fully fledged ninja. Naruto quickly tires of the menial tasks that he and Team 7 are given and pushes for a more exciting mission and eventually Lord Hokage grants his wish, acting as a bodyguard for the master bridge builder Tazuna. Not everything is as seems, however, and Team 7 is soon embroiled in a fight for their lives. This is a great improvement on the previous volume as although the humour is toned down slightly here the action has been greatly increased and there is some background for the setting and the nature of chakra. And serious Naruto fan must own it, and anyone who has not experienced Naruto before will enjoy it all the same, if you don't have book one, I'd recommend you buy that with this. Anyway, this book is titled 'the worst client' Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura have finally graduated as Genin (Bottom ranked ninja) and are assigned to missions, although, these include things such as catching missing cats, and weeding gardens, Naruto, who wants a more thrilling mission, pests the third Hokage, and he and team 7 are assigned to protect Tazuna, a bridge builder from the wave country. But all is not as it seems, mysterious ninja, including the demon Zabuza from the country of water's hidden village of the mist are out to ... Read More: Rating: - BadHere we are at volume 2 and Naruto is even better than in the first. This volume focuses on Naruto and the gangs "C" mission to protect the bridge builder Tazuna. But all go wrong not far from Konohagakure where they are attacked and then you find out the real story behind the worst client. You also get to meat a few new characters in thisvolume, like Inari Zabuza and the mysterious boy Haku. It has an amazing battle that takes up a few chapter and you get to see what Kakashi has been hiding with his headband..well I wont spoil the rest for you...you can find out yourself ny reading. ^_^ Rating: - Manga At Its Best!Naruto has got to be one of my all-time favourate mangas. Once the anime series comes out in the UK it will definitely be bigger than Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh and Dragon Ball Z withput a doubt. The fight scenes are quality, the story line is great and so much detail and effort is put in by the author its unbelievable. In this volume Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke pass the test and officially become a Genin (Junior Ninja). Naruto is fed up of doing easy missions so they are then given a tougher mission. This mission is to protect an old man. Without knowing much about his background, the heros have to go through more danger than expected. Fighting an elite ninja called 'Zabuza' and his student. The heros have a tough battle which is the highlight ... Read More: Rating:  - Action packed ninja fun!This continues from the first books cliff hanger well and quickly gets you thinking. Volume 2 is very clever in the way Naruto and the gang have to complete missions. We get introduced to some new characters, but none of them are to impressive except for a very strange character called Zabuza. The only problem with volume 2 is that the brilliant humour from the 1st volume seems to have disapeared. Never the less this edition makes up for it with a great fight scene at the end. No cliff hanger though means that this is a worthy addition to your collection, but sadly not quite as good as the first. |
