Editorial Review: Amazon.co.uk Review: Based on the popular V-Rally Championship for the PlayStation, V-Rally is a slightly different affair, but one whose heart is in it somewhere. In a game that resembles more the classic OutRun than the V-Rally that we all know and love, your task is to manoeuvre around the track and beat all the other cars while you're at it. The gameplay itself is quite straightforward, with your task to race into the screen made easier by the hints to what corners or obstacles you are about to face, although no matter how much warning the corners always seem to be on top of you before you know it. Just as in V-Rally Championship you are presented with an arcade version and a championship season and also like the original you have the choice of a number of rally vehicles to chose from. If you are looking for that off-road experience then you're unlikely to get it here; however, if you're a driving fanatic then this might just quench your thirst. --Stuart Miles |
