Product Description: You dont have your driver's licence yet but you can still get stuck in traffic! In Rush Hour Junior you must get home before the ice cream melts! Just like the original Rush Hour game, this kid's version is packed with bumper-to-bumper challenges. With 16 brightly coloured vehicle pieces, including a police car, fire truck, bus and jeep, you have to get to the exit to win. Rush Hour Junior has 40 challenge cards with fun levels from beginner (One Scoop) to expert (Banana Split). Suitable for ages 6 to 8 years. Single player game.
Amazon.co.uk Review: Rush Hour Junior is the only time when it's fun (and safe) to play in traffic. The puzzle is designed for solo play for children aged from 6-8 years. The game comes complete with a Traffic grid, 16 brightly coloured vehicle pieces in various shapes and sizes (including your ice cream truck), 40 challenge cards and a travel bag.
Playing the game is really easy; players choose one of the challenge cards and moves all the traffic pieces off the grid. Next, they replace some of the pieces--cars, trucks and buses--to match the drawing on the challenge card, making sure they are all placed in the correct position. Whatever card you choose, your ice cream truck will always be in the same row as the exit on the traffic grid. Your task is to move the other cars, trucks and so on, out of the way so that your ice cream truck can escape.
There's only one rule--you can't take pieces off the traffic grid. Like real cars, you can only move them forwards or backwards. You win your challenge when your ice cream truck can slide out of the exit on the traffic grid. If you get really stuck in a jam, you can start again, or you have a quick peek at the answer on the reverse side of your challenge card.
There are four levels of difficulty: - One scoop of ice cream for Beginners
- Two scoops of ice cream for Intermediates
- Hot Fudge Sundae means you have reached Advanced Level
- Banana Split means you're an expert
This game is great for long journeys and easy to pack in a travel bag. --Ben King
Also available for older players: Rush Hour and Rush Hour Safari.

I asked for this for my daughter for Christmas after seeing good reviews on Amazon. I wasn't disappointed. This game is advertised from 6-8 which personally I think is slightly too old. My daughter is almost 5 and was hooked right from the beginning. She spent an hour or more working her way through the cards - and she was much less inclined to give up than I was! Since then this is a game she returns to over and over again and I am definitely planning to take it with us on a long haul flight later in the year. Some of the cards are too hard for her at the moment but I'm sure she'll grow into them in the next year or so. This is a very educational game - encouraging them to think around a problem and also increasing spacial intelligence - but ... Read More:

Bought this for my daughter for christmas as well as the original version.Once all the loud hi tech games had been opened and played with it was teatime .From the very first time she did the first puzzle so was hooked-and so was i ....A very simple idea of plastic cars on a plastic tray -you move the ice cream truck out of the grid my removing the traffic jam. Some are easy some more challenging-gets your brain thinking in afun way. This toy is that good i bought the harder adult version so the fun will continue-worth every bit you pay for it-will not be dis appointed!!!!

My 6 year old was bought this as a birthday gift. At first glance it looks like there is not much to it, but it is brilliant fun and very addictive. It's definitely a go anywhere game. We took it to a family party (for the kids to play with) and all the adults were completely hooked! Guess what everyone is getting from Santa?

what a fabulous game! My 6 year old son loves it and its easy/medium/advanced variations make it enough of a challenge for anyone, even adults. My 4 year old son is also interested in it, but just a bit too young to concentrate without getting frustrated. Great quality, a really simple concept and small enough to go anywhere in its good quality travel bag. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a fun, educational game that kids can play unassisted.

What a discovery! My 7 year old said that this is the best game he has ever owned and he literally spent the whole of Christmas day playing it - it is compulsive for the whole family - so much so that we are now buying the adult version and the extra sets of cards! All my friends want one.
Would suggest however, that it is a bit too easy for 7 or 8 year olds - ours had mastered all of the expert cards by the end of the first day, and even our nearly 5 year old can do some of them.
Enjoy!!
