Editorial Review: Amazon.co.uk Review: Rugrats: Search for Reptar is a challenging 3-D adventure game based on the familiar Nickelodeon cartoon series. Fans of the show will encounter the entire Rugrats gang, including Tommy, Angelica, Phil and Lil, Chuckie, Stu, Spike and Grandpa. Your goal is to seek and find pieces of Tommy's lost Reptar puzzle, which are scattered across 10 basic and six bonus levels. As you look for the pieces, you will travel through several strange scenarios, including a trip to the grocery store with Tommy and Grandpa (where you must dodge spinning sodas and mean lobsters). You will also help Grandpa find his lost teeth while dodging evil geese in a maze of bushes. Other cool adventure areas include an egg hunt, a circus and a game of miniature golf with windmills and uneven greens. As in the cartoon, the game's graphics are relatively simplistic. However, the camera angles do get a bit dicey at times, since the kids' big heads can often block your view of the action. In addition, the frequently shifting perspectives sometimes result in a sudden reversal of your control response, which can be frustrating during time-sensitive moments.  Rating: - Rustic CharmI know, I know; the graphics are terrible, the controls are terrible, the camera angles are terrible, but I can't help to love this game. I first played this game many moons ago when it was first released. I enjoyed it so much when I rented it a few times, that I decided to buy it. I lost my copy when I moved from home and recently bought it off a seller on here (still sealed!) and I still enjoy it. I'm 21 now and not ashamed to admit it. I especially love playing "Hide And Seek". Or should I say, "Hide 'N' Go Peep" (thanks Lil). Rating:  - The Best Rugrats Game everWell, what can I say. Graphics are excellent, gameplay is great the characters are just like out of the cartoon. It also works in the PS2. Since getting it a year ago I've completed it 12 times I still like playing it because Tommy is so cute and Chuckie is funny when something scary happens. The introduction is so like the original introduction to the Rugrats from 1991 to 1999. Rating: - Great game!!!!!!!!!This game is so excellent. I really am giving it a 10/10. The 1 star reviewer might have not played this for a while since he/she reviewed it. My favourite rugrat in all of them is Tommy. He is soooo cute and funny. in the Toy Palace and training level he says Look At All The Toys. The graphics are excellent graphics for PlayStation/PSone. Angelica is my sisters favourite but my worst rugrat. My dad's favourite is Spike. A must buy because Tommy's funny! So is Chuckie. Phil and Lil Rating:  - Possibly the worst game ever written for the PlaystationThis is a terrible game. If only I could give it 0 stars, or maybe even -1! The graphics are abysmal, possibly state of the art when we were sporting asymmetric haircuts and buying Kajagoogoo records but way below anything that could be deemed acceptable since 1990... Animation is jerky and very crude. There is no active/passive camera mode option, and the view angle does not automatically rotate so you have no idea which direction key you should be pressing to go 'forward'. The controller seems to communicate very slowly with the game, and often doesn't communicate at all. This means that 9 times out of ten 'jump' simply doesn't happen, and you find yourself running left when you stopped pressing left seconds ...
