 Rating:  - A dream machine!Our twin babies LOVE this gizmo. The sights and sounds combine to create a magical atmosphere that even I still find mesmeric 7 months on. Another reviewer said it kept there child awake and whilst this may be slightly true for us too it's because our twins love the spectacle but guaranteed within 10 minutes they are both out like a light. The battery life is pretty decent I think for such a multi-tasking toy and will usually last 3 weeks on a set of batteries with nightly use. At this point I usually use a battery tester to check the life left as you usually don't have to throw all four batteries away. I was a bit unsure as to whether to buy it at first as it is quite expensive and he was already 7 months old. Also, I think it looks quite dated and not that attractive. However, we put it on at bedtime and he now falls asleep by himself whilst watching the lightshow and so I can forgive its appearance! The music sounds good-not too tinny or mechanical, the nature sounds are also quite good-some better than others. Read More: Rating: - Brilliant toy for establishing sleep routineThis toy has helped establish a sleep routine. Before bedtime the baby is bathed and massaged then put into his cot with the music and twinkling lights. He's wide awake looking at the lights and his mobile and before no time he is fast asleep. A very peaceful and tranquilizing effect. Highly recommended!!! Rating:  - baby bear light showwe were bought this as a present for our son Reuben, it took him a while to get used to the tunes, and we found the constant whirring and drone of the lightshow tended to keep him awake, rather than help him to drop off!! Also a female voice, very loud exclaims.."IT'S LULLABY TIME!!" whenever you change the mode, which tended to wake him. The batteries run out quickly as you'd expect with any electrical toy! Rating:  - Crunching & whirring sweet dreams?The music and the lights are very nice. However, when you turn it on you can choose for it to play music for 5,10 or 15 mins - a good idea, although the sound of the timer (loud whirring) drowns out the music and is not very soothing. |
