Editorial Review:
Amazon.co.uk Review: When you first set eyes upon a Game Boy Advance it's almost certain that the game everyone will use to show off the console's abilities will be GT Advance. The idea of Gran Turismo on a portable console may seem ridiculous, but that's exactly what GT Advance is. In terms of graphics, realism, and number of cars, it's as close as you're likely to get to the PlayStation classic while sitting on a bus.
GT Advance lets you drive up to 48 different cars, all of which are officially licensed from real-life (but exclusively Japanese) manufactures. There are four separate classes of championship mode with eight courses in each, making for a mighty impressive 32 tracks in total.
Of course, as the almost entirely rubbish GT Championship proves, all the options in the world can't save a racing game if it doesn't look or feel the part, but GT Advance does. The cars handle well and the super fast 3-D graphics are amazing. There's even a two-player mode, making this a must-have for any GBA owner who wants to see just what his or her new console can do. --David Jenkins

This is one of the original games that came out with the GBA at it's launch on the 22/06/01. However, good games don't grow old and die (look at Pac-man for one example) This is one of the GBA's first and still one of the better racing games avaidable on the little handheld. The amount of cars that you get to choose from is a staggering 15 to start with but if you win a race you get to unlock another car. There's also the garage where you get to tune up your racer so that you can get that victory. The graphics are great but are a little glitchy when cornering. The gameplay is realistic. For example turn into a corner to quickly and your car will spin and the wet road surfaces do make a differance to the car's handling. Great! But with all good ... Read More:

This was the second title I bought for my GBA. In the beginning I thought it was great. But as time moves on, I hardly touch it now because of the tedious chore of entering of a 16 digit password everytime I want to play - the game doesn't allow you to have quick race with the cars and parts that you have won without it. If you want a quick race, then you always start at the bottom. Try to get your hands on the Japanese one instead - at least this has the battery back up/save.
The graphics are good, but I found it very difficult to play whenever a night-time track was offered due to the combination of dark colours used and the GBA's dark screen. It was like driving in the dark with the lights off.

I brought this game as i thought it would be cool to have a hand held gran turismo, of course the graphics and the handling are not a scratch on the mighty gt3, but what do you expect for a handheld!!! But the fact I can drive around the tracks any time I want without carrying around a playstation, so I can now play GT on the train - cant think of a better way to spend the few hours to london. Its excellent! I was very wary of this 16 digit password, so I went and got the Jap version which THQ have bothered to add the battery backup onto, why didnt they do it for the Uk version??? come on THQ youre lossing sales over this.

This game at first i enjoyed, but that was very short lived. The 16 digit save code is enough to stop you playing the game, but as well as that annoying and repititive sound as well as spinning constantly. I can't even sell it for a fiver to a mate it's so bad!
