 Rating:  - cfd-e75Sony's CFD-E75 has an appealing oval shape, and a set of features that make it enjoyable to use. My only complaint out of the box is that the nifty color-coordinated remote did not come with batteries. The problems come when you listen to it. While the "Mega-Bass" button seems to have the intended effect, the amplifiers, the speakers, and the structural integrity of this boom box keep it from booming or from reproducing sound with even a hint of quality. Fuzzy highs. Mushy midrange. Even the bass is weak - quite a disappointment for a Sony "boom box". The specifications of the power amplifier tell the story: 1 1/2 watts RMS per channel, with 10% THD; and this is only from 100Hz to 10KHz. Sony made an attractive ...
