Do not purchase this microphone at any cost. I made the mistake of buying two. It can not pick up voices clearly enough from any more than a meter or so away. Both broke within a few months - recording static noise. Spend a bit extra on a decent one!

I bought this to use as a conference mic to use with my laptop. Turns out the laptops own mic is loads better!

Forget this and don't waste your money - a big let down from Sony...

Unfortunately this is not powerful enough to pick up sounds unless very close, and even then, I found that the built-in microphone on my Olympus dictaphone was much louder and clearer! A complete waste of money! (At least it wasn't too expensive!)

I bought this to record converstaions and it never worked properly. After a few months it just gives out a nasty crackle. Complete waste of money.
