It's well worth kitting your gamecube out with 4 of these, they're a cheaper alternative to the wavebird (Why not get yourself one of those and let your friends use these ones?).
I've always felt Nintendo make the best controllers, I was reluctant to leaving the N64 controller behind when moving up a generation to the gamecube, but I needn't have worried. The ergonomics have fit me perfectly and everything's easy to get hold of. Like the Xbox controller, it doesn't feel like it may fall apart either, yet it isn't as bulky.
But the main reason to get these is because the Gamecube is much better experienced in multiplayer, with Super Smash Bros. Meelee being my personal highlight. You simply need these controllers to ... Read More:

This listing clearly shows an official nintendo gamecube controller. However the controller I was sent was a substitute and not the official controller I expected - Beware!

Without a doubt, the best pad available, for one of the best quality consoles out their. Where-as Sony live by the reputation of the now 12 year old, and dated Playstation pad, Nintendo are always looking for something new, something to enhance the gamers expierience. This is the best pad they've made and its still the best now. The buttons are all just in the right places, the shoulder buttons (L and R - the grey ones) are lovely and chunky, and reaact to pressure, so on certain games, how much pressure you apply will affect the game.
As soon as its even in your hands, you can tell the hours of research have easily paid off. Well done Nintendo! Lets hope the controller for the new console is even more adventerous.... :)

Well i bought a gamecube a couple of weeks ago and i thought what a weird controller, but when i held it in my hand it felt like there was nothing there, and the buttons were perfectly placed, the thumbstick is good (N64 thumb stick) and the C stick is good. It is light to. I then held a Xbox controller (Controller S) and it was uncomfortable. The A button is perfect and the shoulder buttons are done very well, and all the other buttons like Y,X,B and Z are all perfect. Well done Nintendo. If i could give this 10 stars i would. Kepp making those controllers like you do. 5/5 10/10

The PS2 controller is small, fiddly and, overall, pretty rubbish. The Xbox controller is more comfortable, but twice the size it needs to be. The GameCube one, however, balances everything perfectly. It's not too bulky, but not too small either. It shaped so that it fits perfectly into your hands really comfortably, and all the buttons are well spaced out so that while you don't have to stretch across it in order to reach all the buttons, you are unlikely to accidently press 2 at once.
