Editorial Review:
Amazon.co.uk Review: Veteran skate master Tony Hawks has long been leading the way in extreme-sports games. His third outing, imaginatively titled Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, follows in the footsteps of its BAFTA-winning predecessor and offers more spectacular grinding and ollie action in the palm of your hand. Essentially a mini version of the game already out on PS2, GameCube and Xbox, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on the GBA has opted for an isometric environment rather than 3-D; you also get less options than on the other formats, but there are still 13 real-life skating pros to choose from--including Tony himself, Rodney Mullen and Steve Caballero--plus different modes and lots of addictive gameplay to discover.
Once you've picked your man you take him through his four-wheeled paces along a series of courses, completing a series of objectives in a given time limit while simultaneously trying to rack up as many points as possible. Like previous games in the series, these objectives include collecting items, performing particular tricks and generally grinding to greatness. In addition, if you don't fancy playing a pro there's the option to create your own skater, specifying everything from skin tone to tattoos. There are six main stages to complete in competition mode and, although this mightn't sound too impressive, there are lots of other modes to keep you busy, including a tutorial, multiplayer and free skate--not to mention all the secrets to unlock.
Graphically, Tony Hawk's 3 is superb. Little touches like the bone-jarring shudders when you wipeout and the spots of blood on the pavement really make you want to try harder not to end up eating asphalt; the 3-D characters are sharp, the backgrounds beautifully rendered and the animation simply breathtaking. Overall, one of the best-looking and most playable games on the Game Boy Advance. --Kristen Bowditch

Activision have once again produced a spectacular skating game for the Game Boy Advance. The third installment in the series boast many new features, the best being the new 4 player multiplayer link that allows you to play against your mates. Another new feature is the create a skater option that was originally introduced on the PSOne version of Tony Hawk 2. THPS3 has 13 skateboarding pros accessable plus the create a skater. The game has 6 huge levels some of which users of the PlayStaion 2 version will have seen before. Overall this game is a great GBA game and is a must for any sport fan who owns a GBA. I strongly recomend it. Period.

In my opionion the best launch title for the GBA was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. It had everything what you wanted from a game, great graphics, great sound, loads of lastability. However after I completed all that I wanted more. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, somehow, takes all the best aspects of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and improves on them.
The Characters are now fully texture mapped rather than the shaded polygon effect used in THPS2. There are 7 huge levels swarming with life. There are swaying trees, pedestrians and cars. There are 17 skaters in all. There are many different ways to complete all the levels, giving it great replayability.
The audio features of the game are simply stunning. There is great music with the real ... Read More:

I have recentley bought a game boy advance as my old pocket broke so I got the best handheld on the market today. I could afford a GBA and one game I had heard about thps3 through magazines and on the net so I thought that I will give it a go. I have the ps2 version of this game and have completed it with every skater so I know the levals and leval goals very well and when I started career i noticed that the levals are the same as you have Foundry, suburbia, rio, airport,L.A, and Tokyo and the leval gpoals are alike and some the same like 50-50 TC's rail on foundry andhelp the thin man on Suburbia. All the skaters are there from tony hawk to eric koston the control system is very good considering the amount on there its got loads of tricks flip and ... Read More:
