Well, yes, it gives you four USBs from one. But like other reviewers I found the slow transfer speeds with camera, wireless stick and mp3 player annoying - that little message that comes up saying 'this attachment could work much faster...' can really get you down.
I guess the key is to use it for things where speed is not crucial and leave the original USB ports for things that need speed.
But you can buy better.

OK - it works with my webcam, keyboard, mouse and flashdrive.
It only gives USB 1.0/1.1 performance with my ipod; and it doesn't work at all with my USB powered external HD.

Easy to use. Economic price. Just follow instructions and off you go! Extra USB connections as quick as a wink. Can't speak for other operating systems, but works fine with Windows XP.

Ordered a 4 port USB hub to connect web cam, printer and wireless keyboard. So far so good. Product does what it says!!!

It does what it says it will do, all I did was plug it in to the UBS with nothing attached and once the computer had recognised it, it worked first time. I have had no problems with it and will probably buy another one. Don't know if it makes a difference but I tend to have things I don't use regularly or which I don't use simultaneously on the hub, eg scanner, camera, pda, and the rest, ie. printer and broadband router plugged in on different USB's - why make life complicated for the PC
