I got this game after a pal recommended it to me, i THOUGHT it was going to be great. As soon as i had struggled past the dodgey menus i was greeted by poor screen-clips, blocky graphics and jerky controls (halo-style except 3rd person and a lightsaber... turns out terribley). but then again, i only bought it recently and it was bound to be dated by then. It was not totaly awful so i think 2 stars is about fair.

I love this game. The main reason: You get to create your own jedi, build your own light saber, single, dual or double, you get to weild the force, and did i mention light saber building? whats not to like. you start the game as a student on his/her way to the newly formed jedi academy to learn the ways of the force from the legendary Luke skywalker,on your approach you get shot down and a more sinister plot starts to unravel that will have you choose the path of the lightside or the darkside.
how the story unfolds, is by you completeing a set mount of missions(in any order)basically earn your rank as jedi; these missions may involve various things like killing rancors saving people etc and then you get a longer more challenging mission ... Read More:

With many attempts of Lucas Art to perfect a franchise in the gaming world not living up to expectations such as many of the recent film titles (Phantom Menace Game, Revenge of the Sith Game). I was suprised when i found a liking to this first person style game.
Although the "Star wars : KNights of the old republic" Duo of titles have made a name from themselves and I can myself see the playability of the game however I found the fact its set no where near the films with characters i can not relate to frustrating.
With Jedi Acadamy, there are characters you know such as Chewbaccha, Luke Skywalker Boba Fett. The game is set after the sixth film (Return of the Jedi) where Luke Skywalker has an acadamy of students. You play ... Read More:

I have just finished playing this game and have found it on the whole very enjoyable. The game play is fairly fast and the controls easy to master the graphics are not spectacular but OK with a first or third person view depending on weapons. character progression is handled well through the game giving you the option to increase your force powers before each new mission.
This game is more of a FPS with sabers than a true RPG so if you are expecting a version of Knights of the old republic you will be dissapointed. However if you got sick to death of watching loading screens talking to boring characters as well as the turn based action on "KOTOR" and want to work your way through a good story fighting with the force at ... THE STORY: Jaden Kor is just begining to learn the ways of the Jedi from Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn when the Disciples of Ragnos cult begin harvesting the Force-essence from planets across the galaxy. Across twenty missions and various planets (including ones familiar to fans, such as Yavin 4, Tatooine, Bakura, Corellia, Hoth, Coruscant, Vjun, Chandrila, Byss, Ord Mantell, Tanaab and Korriban) Jaden fights Stormtroopers, Sandpeople, rancors, wampas, Noghri and Dark Jedi on the path to becoming a Jedi Knight.
WHAT'S GOOD: For once Lucasarts have been able to learn from their mistakes (or perhaps Raven is responsible) and have created a sequel with none of it's predecessor's failings. The platform element of the game has ... Read More:
