 Rating:  - Quality earphones - wears down over timeI bought these earphones about a year ago and was quite pleased with them mainly because of the cloth cord which does not wear and tear like a plastic one would. However, it did begin to fall apart within a year. Nonetheless, I would still reccommend getting them.. for the price! Rating:  - Brilliant!Just got these beauties after reviewing many other ear headphones and owning several others, cheap and brands. First impression: they feel a bit strange in the ear but this was probably due to being used to all sorts of other headphones in the past. After 10-15 mins, you don't even feel you wear them... and they don't slip! Sound quality? I think these are the best ones I have ever used at this price range, deep clear bass and crystal clear sound, what else someone could ask? Highly recommended. Rating: - Comfort, style and quality, what more can you ask for......A case to keep them in perhaps. Oh, wait, ive got those too!!! I bought these to replace the standard headphones that came with the Fantastic Sony NW-E99 1GB MP3 player as the left earphone broke. First i got a pair of Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones which i didnt get on with due to their design which makes you push them down your ear canal, which was very uncomfortable, so i decided to get these based on the good reviews. I wasnt dissapointed. As soon as i connected them up to my MP3 player the jump in sound quality was obvious and the volume. With my previous headphones i needed it on three quarters volume, these i only need on about one third volume. They are also amazingly comfortably, it feels as if youre not wearing them which ... Read More: Rating: - Definitely buy theseHaving previously brought the MDR-EX71 headphones(and being EXTREMELY disappointed with their lack of bass and tinny sound quality), I brought these to use with my Creative Zen. One word: excellent. Extremely comfortable to wear and the sound quality has a rich bass and as a previous reviewer said, the volume on my Zen has to be turned down - much better for my ears when on London Underground.I can hear the atmospheric aspects to the music that apparantly never existed before with the EX71. I am not a technical person nor do I really care about electrical goodies, so it goes to show how good these really are for me to review them! The left ear started crackling then failed - the split - where the wire seperates from one wire to each headphone is incredibly weak and does not take kindly to continued flexing. Next the foam ear pads that came with disintergrated. Last time I buy sony. Objectively: They look to be the best Sony phones of this type (sitting in your ear) available on amazon. Sound quality is fine - I can't complain at all. They don't mind playing the music very loud.
