 Rating: - OverpricedI can't believe the price of this. I bought one from my local toy shop and it was quite a lot cheaper, but still I think expensive for a glorified piece of moulded plastic. It's quite hard to catch the bugs with the tongs - you're either in danger of crushing the poor things or they wriggle and run away. We caught a couple of wood lice and some sort of small beetle. We put in some water and earth as the instructions suggest. The next morning, one wood louse had drowned and the other had escaped (I found it dead on the kitchen floor). The beetle had disappeared never to be seen again. The magnifying glass just isn't that great and hardly magnifies at all. You're better off spending the money on a proper magnifying glass and putting your bugs ... Read More: |
