First off I'm not a major fan of RPG's in general but this game ranks as one of the best. It's simple combat, varied magic spells and great atmosphere means that you can get into this game really easily and yet its fun all the way through. It never gets dull while you play it through. I say 'while you play it through' because once you've completed it you may wait a while before you do it again properly. But there in lies the charm, you don't have to. Even when you've completed the game you can use your saved characters in a newly started game (choosing from 3 difficulty levels) and level them up even more. You can just gain a few new items for your character or try and complete some of the quests that you may have missed. The maximum level you ... Read More:

The Playstation has been the centerpoint for many great games and Diablo is amongst the other RPG all time greats.
The game allows players to personalise their choice out 3 characters (Barbarian, sorceror and a Amazon style bow and arrow character) to how they choose. The maps are big, which requires players to explore every nook and cranny. The monsters are creative as well as challenging.
The controlls take a while to adjust to but can be changed to the players specification. The game play also takes a while to get used to but once you do get used to it the fun never stops.
The camera angle though can become a bit awkward for players as it is fixed on one position. This therefore affects the movement of the character ... Read More:

I so do not agree! Black Hawk has obviously played on PC first and is biased towards the Playstation version.
Personally I met the PSOne version first, then tried the PC. The first difference I noticed was that I couldn't save character. What? How was I to play this game without being able to save character separate to the level? I've got so used to the tweaks made available to the PSOne game by that method, that I can't imagine playing without it.
On PSOne, it can take you months of building up your character and restarting to begin to reach the lower dungeons. No way could anyone reach Diablo on their first run-through! If you can on the PC, then the PC-version is soft!
And the hours I spent "shopping" - a tweak, incidentally, ... Read More:

A while ago Blizzard Entertainment decided to port one of their best ever games, Diablo, over to the PlayStation, after it took the PC gaming market by storm. The question they must now ask themselves is, was it actually worth it?
Some of the highlights of Diablo include the huge, brilliant multi-player aspect. Without doubt this game is aging - such capabilities were never around at the time. Players could create a hero as a Warrior, Rogue or Sorcerer and then, if they choose, co-operate with another player. Players could split up to take areas on their own or clean out rooms in an attempt to gain a tactical advantage over their enemies.
Not on the PlayStation version though. Players are forced to use a shared-screen style gameplay which becomes ... Read More:
