 Rating: - One of the greatest board gamesThis is ( in my opinion ) one of the greatest board games ever. It is so enjoyable and it is very educational because you really have to strain your brain if you want to do well. I reccomend this and Monopoly as the two greatest board games. The game is played like this, somebody has been murdered and each player gets a group of cards and then 3 unknown cards are put in a package in the middle. The aim is to find out what those cards are, they must be a person, a weapon, and the room the murder was commited in. At the players turn he/she rolls the dice and then can go into one of the rooms, they can then say, for example 'I suspect colonel mustard, in the drawing room, with the candle stick', the room they say must be the room they ... Players must use clues given to them by other players to work out who killed Dr Black, where they killed him and what weapon they used. The first to get the correct solution wins the game. Brilliant fun for all the family as rules are simple and a game doesn't last excessively long. The game will never get boring and since there are 324 possible solutions the game never becomes predictable. An absolute must-have for every family and an ideal Christmas present for an older child. Rating: - Endearing AppealI received a Cluedo box set during the Xmas of 1977. I opened it with great anticipation and wasn't disappointed at all.The game consists of a murder mystery whodunnit with 6 characters,6 murder items, and 6 possible rooms where the murder could have been committed. A very good party game, there are 324 possible solutions, and good players tend to be incisive with a slight element of risk. What makes Cluedo so popular even during a half decade of Commodores, Spectrums, Pentiums, Playstations and X Boxes? Simply because the popular identifies himself or herself as a budding Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie or perhaps Patricia Cornwell ! The game is basically a logic puzzle so it is not a game of luck (though there is a little luck involved) so the most skilful player will win most of the time.
