I would also suggest a better set of re-chargeable batteries as the ones supplied run low through the night, and it has an annoying low battery warning, that keeps waking you up that is if the baby doesn't! Rating: - Does what we need it to do!We bought this one as the reviews on Amazon put it out in front of the rest in the price range, and we haven't been disappointed. The reception on the parent unit is crystal clear and there's no feedback. Reading through the comments made by the other reviewers, we would agree with some of the negatives - yes, the battery life isn't as brilliant as it makes out to be, but we only use the parent unit on battery power in the evenings and set it back on its recharger base in our room overnight. Yes, the night-light doesn't really cast much light into the room. Yes, when you have it on low sensitivity the speakers on the parent unit seem to almost switch on and off according to whether the baby is making any noise (made us worry at first that ... Read More: Rating: - Such a shameBought this monitor after going through all the reviews looking for a good digital one- and it seemed to fit the bill nicely- the design is great and simple to use features for a good price made it ideal. Unfortunately straight out the box the signal kept dropping, not for much- probably 30 seconds or so at a time, but as a new parent thats really worrying! Thought it might just be a defective unit so asked amazon for a new one- which can really quickly, but same thing happened. I think it may just be a bad batch or something but we cant be without a reliable monitor so am going for the BT 150- fingers crossed that one works properly! Other than the fault i would say this is a wonderful little monitor! Rating:  - Great monitor at fantastic price.We debated long and hard about what monitor to get and haven't been disappointed with this one. It is very sensitive (we can hear little one breathing at night which calms the wife), simple to use and we haven't had a problem with the battery life. (We just use it on the recharger overnight.) The sound quality is excellent with no irritating buzzing/hissing that you can get with poorer quality monitors. We had a Tomy monitor for our eldest child and this BT one puts it to shame! Neat looking and easy to use. I would highly recommend it to all new parents. |
