Our son got this game for is 4th birthday and he has loved playing it ever since, with increasing level of counting/maths. No one maths game is going to interest a child from early counting to more advanced additon and subtraction. But the beauty of this game is that you can adapt the rules to the level of the children involved. We started using it for basic counting, and now one year later, it really helps with addition and subtraction. And I expect it will retain interest and educational value for some time to come.

This isn't an "adding and subtracting game" as it says on the box. All it teaches is the symbols + and -. If you add to the rules by making each player actually do the sum of adding or subtracting the number of passengers getting on to or off the bus, then you can make it into a learning experience. But if you play it by the rules, all the kids have to do is count their passengers at the end.
It may be OK for the bottom age range (4), but is too simple and boring for an 8-year-old. It's also over in a few minutes - hardly worth getting the box out.
And finally, this claims to be educational but in the instructions they talk about "a dice"! You would expect anyone producing so-called educational material to know that dice is the plural ... Read More:
