I was drawn to this title for it's quirkiness above everything else. It looked interesting & good fun. As well as it's quirkiness Project Rub also looked like it would make perfect use of the DS's touch screen & stylus as well. It certainly does that & it's hard to imagine the game having half as much appeal if it didn't have this kind of system.
Project Rub is effectively a series of quirky & often very strange mini-games. Nearly all of these require the use of the stylus & touch screen. Some even require you to blow into the mic to complete tasks. It's true some of the mini-games are not up to much but there's enough here to make it worthwhile & a success. The quirkiness of the game coupled with the touch ... Read More:

Project Rub (AKA "Feel the Magic XY/XX") is basically a series of mini games masquerading as a dating sim.
The game opens with an impressive animation, combining retro and contemporary graphical influences. Some in-game graphics are also stylistically impressive. In some other areas, however, the graphics are more just simplistic or dated-looking.
As for playability, the mini-games just aren't that satisfying, and many feel underdeveloped. I completed a good few on the first attempt and was left thinking "Is that it?". Others are more fun, but generally there's little (if any) replayability. Completing all the games on normal difficulty isn't hard, just a matter of perseverance.
Once you've completed a game ... Read More:

Ok, after playing Wario Touched..i was hoping for a similar enjoyable game to play so I thought Project Rub would be good. I read good reviews on it, and screenshots and had high expectations on it...after playing a few levels i got reali bored...the mini games seemed absolutely pointless and as u move on in the game they become harder and even more stupid. i havent even bothered finishing it because its just too rubbish to even continue...sorry guys, in my opinion its a waste of money..

Project Rub is basically a tech demo for the Nintendo DS. It uses all the DS's new features, including touch screen, microphone and blowing. It's an extremely fun game, incredibly addictive and easy to pick up and play. Even non-gamers will probably enjoy some of the sections. The game follows the story of a young boy who is trying to impress a girl so that she will date him, whilst simultaneously fending off his rival. The boys attempts to impress are told through a variety of minigames which involve blowing out candles, evading bulls, playing ten pin bowling against real people at a bus stop and unicycling across planks laid between 2 buildings...yeah, it's kinda crazy! Great fun though, with th eexception of the one rhythm game included ... Read More:
