Sound quality seemed pretty good, and I really like the way the controls are set out. Is quite light and portable, battery lasted not tooo badly... Only down side for me was that it could've used a little more "ooomph", more volume please Sony! Rumbling along on a bus it really doesn't quite go loud enough.
Other small niggle is the beep-beep-beep sound when you pause a CD, it becomes dead annoying if youre using a "learn French" CD that you pause every 2 minutes!!!!

I bought this walkman twice, (the second as a replacement for the first) to help with my studies and although it's suitable for my purposes, the volume/sound avls buttons don't work at all, so the volume level can't be adjusted.I've had to return it (twice) so I guess it must be some sort of ongoing manufacturing fault. If it is, I hope Sony sort the problem out, it's been so frustrating to have to keep returning items, especially when I need it for my studies!

My first review of this product was never displayed, so i will keep the language in moderation this time, now i've had time to calm down... now i'm in the zone. I bought this cd player for several reasons: it's jog proof, slender for pockets and good value for money. It was only when it arrived the full truth came out. My first discovery was that whilst the description claimed it was 136mm thick, an attractive statement as this would suggest it was unbelievably thin, ideal for pockets. When i received it it measured about 236mm. This may sound petty on my part but that is larger than the 7 year old player i had just lost to old age, and does annoy me, seeing as that was the primary reason for my buying it. The jogging function does work... ... Read More:

I must admit it has all the features one needs, but I am very disappointed in that as a runner it doesn't have a clip to clip onto my shorts. Yes it may be jog proof but as a runner I just want to clip it on and run. Now I have to buy a CD holder and waist band to enable me to use it for what it was intended. To listen to my music while I run. I will say that many of the portable CD's I have looked at do not offer this feature which I find very disappointing, especially as many say jog proof. I would like to know what other runners think. Yes I know I could buy an MP3 player and download but I would have to double the amount I would have to pay.

I bought this CD Player off my mate since got a new one and since I got it, it's gone everywhere with me! For such a good-value CD Player it's got all the features you'll ever need. For instance, it has 50hrs battery life which I can tell you is more than enough for just listening to in the city or whatever, and it features something called 'G-PROTECTION' which is like an upgrade of jog proofing. It's light-weight and has easy to navigate controls. The battery port is located actually underneath the CD which makes changing the batteries slightly harder than a normal player. Overall I give it 5/5 because of it's good looks and good functions. Recommended to any first timer in the CD player department.
