WHY DID YOU LET ME DOWN SONIC!!!on the cover of the game i have it says '92% the best sonic game ever' A COMPLETE LIE!!! as im sure a lot of you know as soon as sonic entered 3D the friendly blue hedgehog went (sadly) downhill but when i saw this game i thought yes finally a sonic game that looks great and is in 2D. i was wrong :( ok so the game does have good sides for instance it's just as fast paced as the origanal sonic that we all know and love and you can play as blaze the cat (ok so not really a reason to buy the game but a nice touch). the bosses are good as well but the entire game lacks that spark that all the other games had. the game doesnt have a lot of gameplay in it either compared to some of the mario games on the market ... Read More: Rating:  - Super Sonic GameSonic Rush is an excellent game which uses the DS touch screen for Special Stages brilliantly! The 2D levels are better than Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1 and the 3D bosses are great- this game is a brilliant experience. Blaze is a new character from another dimension who is after the Sol Emeralds but she does not use the special stages. The two enemies in this game are Dr. Eggman (Robotnik) and Eggman Nega. There are no glitches except if you use Action Replay. Rating: - This is how sonic the hedgehog should be.Isn't it ironic that the best sonic title since sonic and knuckles all those years ago, appears on a nintendo console? This game has gone back to basics and ditched all the rubbish sonic clones and crap storylines and has just stuck with simplicity. This game is as fast as hell and you can pull of some sweet moves and there are some truly memorable moments. You get to play as sonic and new kid on the block: Blaze. which now brings me to the reason why i gave this 4 stars. The new character, blaze is simply rubbish, no way near as fun as sonic and could have been easily replaced by (my favourite) knuckles. when you select blaze, you just get to play the same levels with this character which lets the game down some what, because ... Read More: Rating:  - Maybe I'm getting too old for this type of gameRemember spending many a happy hour on the Sega Megadrive guiding the little blue hedgehog through numerous levels of increasing difficulty, so approached this game with a degree of anticipation. How disappointed I was once I started to play. The level of difficulty from the off is absurd, as many have said the speed of play is so fast that there is more luck than skill in getting to the end of stage. Given that others seem to love this game it is perhaps time for me to hang up my red boots. |
