 Rating:  - Functional-Lack of FeaturesI've had this for 6 months now. It is functional and means you dont have to take it out of your pocket/holder to play, pause, skip, scan and adjust volume. But this is all you can do with this remote. Other remotes that Sony have produced in the past have been much better. You can gain access to options within the unit such as sound equaliser, sleep functions etc. Its a shame you cannot change artist, album etc through this remote. It is plastic, but if it was metal it would probably fall to the floor when clipped onto clothing. Only buy this if you find yourself taking your walkman out of your pocket alot and be aware it has limited functionality, if you want to change album, artist etc you will be dipping into your ... Read More: Rating:  - Well Worth The Money!I don't know about some of the other negative reviews I've read about this item, but I think it is great value. One of the problems I found with my Walkman is not being able to do anything with it unless I got it out of my pocket. With the RM-NWS1 this is not a problem. Alright, it could have had a metal casing, but a plastic one doesn't detract from the quality and it is very light - you never notice you've got it on (the in-built clip is very useful). It does everything it says on the tin and I find it an essential accessory for my Walkman - well worth the money! Rating: - Good productArrived day after order was placed... connected in seconds and all working.. no problems to report thus far.... only complaint I guess it that it is made of silver coated plastic.. would have been nicer touch if it were may of 'real' metal... Rating:  - Oh my what a traumaI am now on my THIRD remote control and beginning to wonder if its worth the hassle. It looks just as great as the Sony Walkman, all silver and shiny. However, it doesn't work. On the first one the volume control stopped working three weeks after I started using it. The second replacement I got worked for two days - this time its the shuffle button that stopped responding. I'll update on number three - not impressed so far, but Amazon's excellent customer service/returns procedure has to be one of the best available. Rating:  - sleek and sexy, but thats about itI own a NWA1000 and bought this remote to save me reaching into my pocket to change track. Owning other Sony Walkmans I have to say that I have seen far more useful remotes. For example with backlit displays and more buttons to give you access to the menu etc. I have to say that even though it looks nice, it's a bit average in functions, but it does the basics such as volume and forward/back. |
