Editorial Review:

Amazon.co.uk Review:
In a nutshell:
One of the most respected Western role-playing games of all time is back with huge improvements in graphics and accessibility, including a completely real-time combat system and the largest, most detailed game world ever seen. Phew.

The lowdown:
Although previous Elder Scrolls games have enjoyed something of a like it or loathe it reputation, this latest sequel has the means to appeal to everyone thanks to one simple improvement: its incredible new graphics. Unlike many role-playing games it is viewed from a first person perspective, with a game world portrayed in a staggering amount of detail, and realistic psychics and characters that genuinely seem to be going on about their own separate lives. The game's real appeal though lies in the huge freedom: play it exactly how you want.

Most exciting moment:
Using the new combat engine to fight off dozens of enemies, then stealing one of their mounts and riding off into the sunset.

Since you ask:
Emperor Uriel Septim VII is voiced by Star Trek and X-Men luminary Patrick Stewart, but all the characters in the game have full spoken voiceovers instead of just onscreen text. This is the next generation, you know.

The bottom line:
One of the most realistic and accessible role-playing games ever made.
Harrison Dent

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must get for all people who own a 360
More Than 5*

One word to desribe this game: !!!!AMAZING!!!
The graphics is the example of next generation gaming. The best examples of graphics is the sky and transition of lighting, you can't beat it. But what makes this game stand out is its level of detail. Books upon books that is full of detail which people unfortunally never read. The world is extremly detailed, no part of a wood looks the same, and always unique. But what makes this different from other games is that all the conversations is fully spoken, not just text scrolling across the bottom. This is rare in these types of games and it is done exceptionally. The lip-syncing in this game is the BEST i have ever seen! And did you know that half of the data on the ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - say good by to your free time
all i will say about this game is that it is very VERY deep one of my friends (my 360 broke) has spent over fifty hours on the game and still does not have all the achevements and he ahs spent fifty hours on it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - VERY VERY ADDICTIVE!!!!!!
this is one of the first titles i got for my xbox 360, had it for about a week now and ive been wanting to get most of the top titles. but i doubt thats going to happen for a good while....maybe a year or so.

this game is just packed with alot of things to do. you could spend hours just exploring the map, which has amazing visuals, seriously, go hang out by the lake at sunset (in the game...) and see for yourself. looks so real. yes it does have to load up the map as you go along but if you look past youll see just how well presented the visuals are. go hang out around ruins and find caves. the map has alot to offer and youll be going around for hours, unless you just get a horse.

the gameplay has alot of detail, you ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wasn't sure if I'd like it..........
But this game is great. Only got it a couple of days ago and couldn't put it down all weekend!

Now I'm not usually one for a game that takes it's time to get going, where you have to work your way and really develop your character to do anything of any significance. But for some reason I find this fantastically enjoyable and challenging.

I don't think this is a game where you can pick it up for 20 minuntes at a time - reason being that you become immersed in the Elder Scrolls.

A must buy for anyone - not just certain types of gamers (I usually get stuck in to sports games for example).

Go and buy it

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - ....LOVE IT!!!
This game is really really fun and not at all stressful (you can change the difficulty level). You can save then go rampage through towns on a killing spree and then reload again. You don't have to spend hours levelling up a character just to get past a point (although it helps if you want cooler armour) because the enemies are level based.

The possibilities of the game are endless. You can basically do whatever you want, whenever you want. You can also customize yourself. The gameplay itself is easy and fun with an excellent tutorial basically describing the game. (A little help from the manual would help for deciding race etc.) You can choose to do the missions or not to do the missions. You can join clans or factions or just wreak ... Read More:
