 Rating:  - A REAL SHAME.....After playing the playstation version years ago I couldn't wait to get this. After playing it, SEGA showed just what they are capable of.. making a complete waste of time and effort! God knows why you would want to to pay 44.99 for it. Luckily I got it with the console. I advise you not to get this even if you love sonic, it will only dull your memories of him. There are loads of reasons why it is so rubbish, and I could go on forever telling you but I'll tell you some of the main reasons. The gameplay is atrocious and will no doubt give you a headache within minutes. SEGA have now got you doing endless chores for the townsfolk before you can go into a proper level. the townsfolk give you your stupid task to do and after listening to them ... Bad!!!this game is very repetitive and frustrating. at the beginning this game seems fun and colorful, but quickly turns dull and boring. although this game is portrait to be great it lacks effort. the new silver character at first is also great but all he can do is fly 2cm and and lift up 2 cars and miss the enemy. the towns are also boring and are tiny. although this is what many sonic fans like about the games i find myself wanting to get a refund Rating: - DONT BUYDespite reading the reviews i opted to fork out 16 quid for Sonic The Hedgehog as having been a sonic fan since the age of 9 i decided to ignore the reviews and buy it and see for myself what was the big fuss, hoping i would enjoy. But alas i have wasted 16 quid on what has to be the worst playstation 3 game EVER, the camera angles suck, the voice actors should be shot and the gameplay is absolutely abismal as it basically spends half the time playing the game for you and the other half asking people about crap you care less about it and also the cutscenes have major glitches which but its not just the opening cutscene its every DAMN one which just spoils it for me. Read More: Rating: - bad bad bad....this game is complete rubbish. first impressions are good, a good intro with superb graphics, but it didnt stay like that. in game it has almost ps2 graphics and thee gameplay is terrible, lots of loading screens. makes you do the most stupidest boring tasks like 'talk to the shoemaker' then a loading screen... it goes on.. Rating: - Infuriating!!!The opening sequence for the game looks incredible. I saw it playing in a shop window and was amazed that it was a sonic game. However the sequence was not a very good indicator of what was to come. I only kept it long enough to play a couple of hours as the whole thing was just too tedious. You spend most of your time running around talking to people in the town, too boring. There is a ridiculous amount of loading screens which take far too long. It also doesn't cope with many moving characters on the screen. If there's lots of enemies on the screen movement becomes very juddery.
