 Rating: - Better than GTA4.....while it lastsRight lets get one thing straight, this game is a lot of fun! In fact the most fun i've had playing a game in ages. I picked this up fairly cheap not expecting much, a few cheap thrills perhaps and i was so surprised!! The graphics are very nice, polished and very solid. The fact you can potentially go anywhere you want in the city literally if you can see it you can get there! The gameplay is phenomenal especially after a few hours and you start levelling up!! Who would want to jump over a tower block and throw cars into crowds of people..seriously the game isnt the longest (mission wise) but the pick up and play factor is huge!! I cant put it down. It will last for quite a while (About 15-20hrs) and is even better played on XBox LIVE. This isn't a "proper" shooter its more of a action shoot 'em up meets super hero game. You can upgrade your powers to be able to throw things further, jump higher( you can eventually jump to about 35 ft)run faster shoot more accurately and blow things up better.If your looking for something with a good story though this isn't it. Though Crackdown has no paticular story, it makes up for that with intense action and non-stop thrills. The array of guns were unparalled by none. One minute you are eating a Subway sandwich in the park, and the next you are waging terrible war with bloodthirsty criminals! To put it simply, Crackdown is simply astonishing. The freeform jumping and chasing sequences are bound to exhilerate even the most boring of people. Graphically, it's a nice game with graphic novel (aka cell shaded) graphics & I like the designs for the agency pistol & assault rifle & it makes a nice change since I'm more use to Bioshock, Lost Planet, Gears Of War etc in those terms.
