Editorial Review:
Manufacturer's Description: Joanna Dark returns in the Xbox 360-exclusive Perfect Dark Zero, the prequel to the international award-winning and multimillion-selling first-person shooter Perfect Dark from famed game developer Rare Ltd. A secret war has begun between shadowy corporations bent on world domination. Joanna Dark and her father, Jack, are caught up in the fight for the planet's future. A routine bounty hunting mission rips open a global conspiracy that will change Joanna's destiny--forever.
Players must guide Joanna Dark on her journey to become the Perfect Agent. Featuring a compelling and captivating story, Perfect Dark Zero plunges players into a world of corporate espionage and conspiracy. Perfect Dark Zero merges the excitement and intrigue of its predecessor with revolutionary game design, online play and amazing graphics to deliver an experience that defines next-generation gaming and entertainment.

Sadly poor level design and constant hand holding stop the game from being great. The game never lets the player off the leash and you feel restricting by the developer. The multi player aspect is far better but who is playing it? no one anymore. Rare need to have more faith in the ability of gamers.

This game really is great and has given me and my friends tons of fun. The single player levels are really varied and you can play through the entire single player with a friend - in the same room and also online.
The multiplayer is amazing! Two different modes depending on whether you want an arcade feel or a more realistic experience - I play these all the time online in split screen with my 2 friends round.

Fantastic multiplayer will keep you playing for months
Really varied single player (including split screen co-op and co-op over live).

Ive had this game for a year, bought it second hand, the limited edition.
I'd go for that if you can get it, it contains a DVD (which ive never seen!) and the box and packaging will ensure you never want to sell it.
Recently (Dec 2007) I've really got into it and its FANTASTIC! The music is superb, the weapons amazing, and the controls are very easy to master.
The 2nd stage in the nightclub has to be heard and seen to be believed!
Im pretty sure that a piano version of the power of love by frankie goes to hollywood is used throughout the game, it sounds like it anyway, and greatly atmospheric.
The best thing about this game is that its available for LESS THAN A TENNER! Having completed ... Read More:

Perfect Dark Zero is a prequel to the N64 classic Perfect Dark. However, while still developed by Rare studios it shares very few of the original developers. It has also suffered for this, Perfect Dark Zero feels like a relic. A first person shooter from a different generation of consoles. It has no caught up with the fast paced Halo generation and doesn't really compete. The campaign is very weak, little ties the missions together except for a distracting voice briefing and the levels are often poorly designed with confusing objectives.
The strong side of the game is found in the greatly entertaining multipayer, using Xbox live Perfect Dark Zero is great fun. The maps are wonderfully well designed, the playing is smooth and the games are ... Read More:
