I didn't expect too much from this game, as I thought it would be aimed more at the Wii. However, I expected the game play and graphics to be good.
The graphics are very good, and at times you actually feel that you are watching the film. However, the game play was fairly disappointing - you can battle a foe far to easily. Once you have hit them twice, they just stand there and allow you to finish them off. However, I will say the when you battle a leader of a group (for instance Davey Jones' first mate) the finishing moves are very satisfying.
I don't understand how this game can be rated a 16+. There is now blood or swearing, just fighting. Also, this game is not as addictive as I thought it would be.

I read the reviews watched the trailers and thought this game was a must have for the playstation 3.
Whilst the graphics and visuals are nice I felt the gameplay lacking you can get through the majority of the fights by spamming the x button, the puzzles (if thats what they were meant to be) didnt offer any challenge, you were led by the hand to every objective.
Are the graphics alone enough to warrant paying the money? NO I completed this game in an evening I found the duelling system laughable and the levels far to easy.
I asked my eldest son to play the game he completed it in about the same time and his comments were the same as mine.
When I spend this much money on a game I expect it to last me ... Read More:

I played through this game and completed it in two days....And my conclusions were, what a gorgeous looking game. It's a good well desgined game with a whole range of different places to fight and navigate through. I was impressed. However, I found that the sword fighting became repetitve very quickly. You can never upgrade your initial fighting moves.
To put it simply you have standard slash, punch and grab. All of which can involve throwing around and which can even lead on to a finishing move. The finishing moves get bigger as you complete the game, however when you are button mashing to fight numerous enemies, you can hardly be selective about what moves you use to dispatch your enemy anyway. Mainly though the combat becomes a ... Read More:

this is one of the best PS3 games to date, both graphically and in game play. The game starts off at the beginning of the second film (Dead Man's Chest) and you play through to the end of the third (At Worlds End). This is one of the first games to output in 1080p, and the characters actually look like the actors.
The game is very linear, there is even a compass at the top of the screen to tell you the general direction to go. the game is not very challenging, and there does not seem to be a difficulty setting that you can change. I personally think that the best part of this game are the Duels (and there are plenty of them). they are done in a different style to the rest of the combat sequences, where you almost take turns to ... Wow i say to myself, i movie tie in thats fun and plays very well.... stunning graphics, incredibly real characters graphically and voice wise, they've also captured Mr Depp's (Jack's) mannerisms perfectly from his facial expressions to the way he walks..... the fighting in the game in also refreshing, for a time that is because theres so much of it (nearly the whole game) and can become repetitive and tedious at times... tho this personally hasent botherd me.....Playing this game will also totally ruin the third film if you havent seen it so Pllleeeaaassseee watch the film B4 playing this. i still do hold Oblivion as the best game on PS3 but this runs a close second 94%
