I would agree that this is virtually impossible to fly forwards, but - I did not find sturdy - within an hour a rotor had broken and then the control box started to rattle and gave up the ghost!

Just got it this morning, flew it for about 12 minutes! really fun, i cant wait to master it! its really sensitive which i suppose allows accurate flying. Definately value for money. Thanks very much

We bought this for my sons 8th birthday and it has proven a big hit. Hovering is simple and he was just mastering the directional flight when the tail rotor motor connection broke. I was expecting the main rotors to die first, as they look very flimsy. However the machine tends to bounce safely when it falls from a great height, so I'm not sure how the tail motor failed. My advice is to find a very big room to fly it in with absolutely no obstructions.

I've just had mine for half a day and have flown it for maybe 20 minutes total so far. Easy enough to learn how to hover it, and while very sensitive, the yaw trim control does allow you to take out any residual yaw rotation to let you achieve a stable non-rotating hover with no control inputs.
It needs more pitch authority though. The original tail rotor as fitted had little pitch effect, so I fitted the larger one that came in the box - no discerable effect. It's impossible to make it go forward at any speed, although with care, you can manage to get it to creep forward very slowly.
It's plenty durable for what it is. Although clearly flimsy, it's extreme light weight works in it's favour and it's suffered several ... Read More:

Ours is indeed the 'Alany' version, and good value, we think.
It worked well out of the box, and showed good stability for such a tiny helicopter - in the same league as the Silverlit Picoo and others we have flown, perhaps a tad less stable? Nothing in it really.
It flies well outside but only in perfectly still air. Wind blows it away much like a balloon because it is so light - can be dodgy because the range of the transmitter is restricted. Fortunately going out of range seems to kill the rotor power, but it might be up high when that happens, so be careful, since it cannot autorotate - it just plummets to earth.
It is, of course a helicopter, and whilst fixed wing aircraft (and good autogyros) usually want to fly, traditionallly ... Read More:
